I went to the clinic nearby to check on my scratches.

"Your cuts seem to have improved, and you're healing just fine. I'll wrap some new gauze around so it'll be better." The nurse patted my arm softly after she wrapped it.

"Ouch! A little sensitive there heh-" I giggled. "Anyway, do you know where the officers are?" I asked. I wanted to know where they said they would be to talk about my attack from Kapi a couple of days ago.

"Outside in the waiting room, they are talking  about the rise of anti-furs in the country."

"Oh, that's interesting. I'll go to them!" I hopped off the medical bed and left the room. I saw the two officers with a box of donuts talking.

"Oh, Nate look! He's out now!" A furry cat hit his partner's arm and pointed at me.

"Hey Keith! Let's go to my cruiser to talk. My name is Officer Nate, and this is Officer Yami." Yami was a cat. Weird how a fur and a human were paired up, but that doesn't matter.

"Let's go to the cruiser to talk about it." He stood up with his partner and walked out, holding the door for me.

"Yes sir!" I answered, following the two to the black police cruiser outside.

He grabbed his notepad, a pencil, and looked at me.

"Hopefully no random thunderstorm shows up like it did a couple of days ago. Anyway, let's talk about your battery. Tell me what happened?"

"Well you see officer, I was at the FUN Arcade in town. I saw one of my old friends there and he wanted to do a rap battle. He was on a dance pad, but I used an open microphone. Anyway, we battled it out but after winning two rounds, he viciously scratched me, almost hitting my girlfriend!" I tried to stay calm, so as to not make myself furious about it again.

"Ah, I see. Has your friend done this before? Ever seemed aggressive before?"

"No, neither of those. Though he did speak in a 'slang' language, like saying yo and bro a lot. So I'm not sure if he was in a gang at all."

"Alright, I'll write it down. Any additional information?"

"No, not really. He was a shy cat in school most of the time, so meeting me was odd as I used to get in trouble a lot." While I was talking to Nate, Yami went into the cruiser to use the computer. He looked shocked seeing information, and quickly climbed out of the car.

"Nate! Come here!" He called him over and showed him something. They both looked surprised and whispered to each other. After they stopped talking, Nate came back to me.

"Alright, if you saw, Yami had looked up some info about this. Before I give you the spill, does the name Kapi sound familiar?"

"Yes sir, he was my old friend."

"Well, some bad news. On Ethan Avenue, the department found a large pool of his blood on the ground. And during the random thunderstorm, he entered the Ethan Hospital and collapsed on the ground. He had to get stitches and was in surgery to remove a bullet from his… buttocks…"

"Holy shit, what the hell happened? S-sorry, pardon my language."

"It's alright kid, I curse sometimes too. Anyway, I'm not too sure. But do you still wanna press charges or keep 'em comin?" I thought about it for a moment. The scratches on my arms, despite being sort of bad, would heal very quickly. Kapi was a really old friend of mine, and supported me all the way. And I would hate to be him, and hear that I was going to jail for a mistake. I knew he was playing an act with the slang thing, and I knew it got to him.
