The rising sun it's always my favourite. It makes my skin look gold. While I am bathing in the cold river, I am making sure to take every second of this freedom before going back to our prison.

This is the only time where I and other slaves can get a bit of privacy. A sense of freedom. Get away from fear that controls our life consistently.

Being a human in this world is a curse. Once we used to fight for equal rights among humans. And now being born as one is a lifelong misery.

This world is now filled with creatures of darkness. They control it. They control us. And we once the superior species are now at the bottom of the rank. Slaves.

Every human is a slave. Six years ago they took over us and  now we can't recognize each other anymore. Now it's not about living anymore. It's about surviving. That's what we humans are good at anyways. We have been since the dawn of civilization. Or at least that's what we are told.

I put on my clothes again and make my way with others. Everything is still quiet. Because it's way too early. And because most wolves are still asleep.

That's why we can take our time to breathe without fearing the consequences of our actions. But it's still not long. Before the majority of the wolves wake up, we slaves will make sure everything is spotless and the food is ready for them.

I am a slave in the pack house of this town.
My everyday work is waking up before the wolves and working till they fall asleep. Help the women and the pups, cook, clean and before you know it the day would be gone.

Another day gone and another day to come. Another day to survive.

As I went back to the slave's residence, I noticed the time. It's 11: 53 pm. By the time I make it to my bed it's past 12:00 am.

I release a long sight and I tell myself quietly "Happy Birthday"

I am 26 now. A slave. No parents. No purpose. No family and no home.

That is my life now. Or so i though.
