We had about a week to go. Frankie had taken Sue and I to look for dresses at this place called Delilah's Deals. It's basically a bargain bin store for anything you can think of. Need new tires Delilah's got a deal for you. New cookware there's a deal. New toys for your kids another deal. And of course clothing. There's another deal. Granted it's all knockoffs and generics but who really can tell!
We both tried on lots of dresses. Most were too big, too small, to scratchy, one had a stain on it in a 'questionable' area... Until I landed on this.
It was gorgeous! And it fit like a damn glove (plus the twirliness of it)! It was just the one. So I got it and helped Sue pick between this cute sparkly rainbow dress and a teal number that to be honest would have been a close runner for mine had I found it first.
Eventually I talked her into the teal one so I could possibly borrow it next year.
Frankie cried a little and made us get together in our dresses and snapped a pic on her phone of us. You know so she could show mike and the grandparents and even offered to send it to Rita too, but I told her not to worry about it.
We then quickly made our way out of Delilah's Deals with dresses in hand when Frankie froze. "Crap! It's almost 7:30 and I forgot about dinner!"
"It's okay mom... There's taco bell right around the corner. We can just go pick something up." Sue suggested.
"Nuh.. you're dad hates Taco Bell." Frankie shook her head.
"We could stop at the Chinese place it's not far." I offered.
"We did Chinese last week..." Frankie trailed off.
"How about the Italian place? Papa Picollinis? I think. They serve a huge spaghetti meal with bread sticks for like 15 bucks!" Sue added.
"Spaghetti is good! And we do love bread sticks.... Oh what the heck!" Frankie smiled starting back towards the car. "Come on girls, to Papa Picollinis!"
