Chapter 19

Trying to sneak out of a werewolf's bed is hard. I was afraid that I would wake him but I somehow managed to get out just fine. I was currently making a breakfast, which took awhile since I didn’t know where everything was. But after locating everything, I was cooking in no time. I was almost done with the last of breakfast when I felt strong arms wrap around my waist, hugging me from behind, and Aaron putting his head between my head and shoulder to kiss my neck.

“Goodmorning.” I said cheerfully, “I made breakfast.”. I smiled and flipped the last pancake onto the plate.

“It smells amazing, Angel.” he said, turning me around in his arms so that he could kiss my forehead.

“Are you ready to eat?” I asked, after giving him a small kiss. He nodded and followed me sleepily to the table where I had put the places full of bacon, eggs, and some fruit salad. We ate quietly and happily and I enjoyed every second of it. “So, did you start studying yet? I know that I still have to start.”.

“Well most of don’t study for that stuff because most of us don’t leave.” He said, “I do know that a few go off to college to become doctors and then they come back or go to other packs. Most of us stay though and only leave when they find their mates.”.

“But how are people supposed to mate their mates if they never leave?” I asked.

“Well that’s the thing about the Moon Goddess,” Aaron said, “she writes our fates and finds a way to make it all happen. One day you could be sitting at home and decide ‘I want to go to Paris.’ so you go and you meet your mate there. The Moon Goddess works in mysterious ways.”.

“How is preparation for the ceremony going?” I asked after a pause of silence.

“Pretty good, my father is just introducing me to our other allies and making sure that we’re acquainted. “ he said, “Oh and mother wants to talk to you today about Luna training.”.

“Luna training?” I asked, “What all do I have to do?”.

“There isn’t as much training for a Luna as there is for an Alpha.” he said, “She’ll probably just talk about the basics and such and then tell you your role for the ceremony.”.

“Okay, well what time should I meet her?” I asked. I started taking a dishes into the kitchen.

“Don’t worry about them, I’ll clean up.” Aaron said, “Why don’t you start getting ready? She’ll want to meet you in about an hour and half at the cafe.”.

“Ruby’s Cafe?” I asked.

“Yeah, I’ll drive you since you don’t have a car.” he said, “Or you can take Sasha’s.”. He held up the keys but I refused. It wouldn’t feel right to use someone else's car when they're not there to ask. “Okay, I’ll drive you. Go get dressed, Nora.”.

I walked down the hallway and took a quick shower and went to my closet. What do you wear when you go meet your boyfriend’s mother? I know I’ve met her before, but this time I should not be wearing my pajamas. After digging through my side of the closet, I pulled out a pale mint dress with lace and a light blue cardigan. I threw on my brown sandals and blew my hair dry then put it half up and half down. Aaron then got ready and we were on our way. He handed me a $20 bill so I could buy myself something, though I doubt I would use it all. When we arrived, he gave me a quick kiss and told me to text him when I needed to be picked and that I could shop around if I wanted to.

“There she is!” I heard Mrs. Silverstone say as she stood up from the bench outside the cafe.

“You look very beautiful today, Mrs. Silverstone.” I said nervously.
