The rehearsal was nothing compared to the actual wedding. Everything went even better than Lizzie had expected. Sally actually cried. Lizzie cried. Their mom cried. And from where she was standing, Lizzie could see Spencer's eyes getting all misty. Becky cried. Spencer's mom cried. It was like everyone in the church cried or was trying hard not to cry. Their vows were so honest and unbelievably romantic.

And more than that, it was the way they looked at each other the whole time. Lizzie realized that while saying their vows, Sally and Spencer never took their eyes off each other. And there was a very happy and contented smile on both of them.

If someone had looked at me like that, Lizzie thought wistfully, I'd be so happy and I'd feel so special, as if the only person that mattered in the world was me.

After Spencer had kissed Sally, when they both turned towards the crowd, everyone clapped and Lizzie was cheering along with everyone else.

As the happy couple made their way down the aisle, their parents and relatives stopped them to wish them a good life together. The rest of the wedding entourage, waited until the bride and groom had gone before they all marched down for the recessional.

Lizzie hesitated when she and Jordan met at the top of the steps, close to the altar, close to where the bride and groom had been. She tried to avoid Jordan's eyes. What if he could read everything in her eyes?

Lizzie believed in that saying, 'Eyes are the windows of the soul.'

She wasn't sure if she was ready to see his reaction. To see his rejection.

"Lizzie?"

His voice was unsure, uncertain, yet soft and comforting as he held out his arm to her.

Lizzie quickly averted her eyes, but she took his arm, and they both walked down the steps together. She distinctively heard someone cough from behind and when she spared a quick glance over her shoulder, Ethan and Becky were both giving her knowing smiles.

"Great wedding, huh?"

Lizzie snapped her head back, and without thinking, looked up at Jordan. She smiled and nodded her head. "Much more than I expected," she answered truthfully.

"I never expected everyone to get so…" he paused, thinking of the right words.

"Emotional?" Lizzie suggested.

Jordan grinned (Oh, he looked so cute when he smiled, Lizzie thought with a sigh) and said, "Exactly. Spencer had tears in his eyes, which is a first."

"So did everyone," she muttered with a laugh as they neared the entryway of the church. She turned to him once more, and looked up into those Mahogany brown eyes. "Did you cry?"

Jordan returned her gaze. "No. Did you?"

"No," Lizzie whispered, tearing her gaze away from him. But my heart breaks of what might have been, she silently amended not meaning her sister and Spencer.

"Oh Lizzie! Lizzie!"

Lizzie recognized the voice instantly and removed her hand off Jordan to catch a smiling Lily in her arms. The girl looked so much like an angel, or a princess.

"Oh this was wonderful, so wonderful!" she squealed blissfully, her arms wrapped around Lizzie in a fierce hug. "I never had so much fun, and I feel so much like a princess!" she clapped her hands in obvious delight. "I love weddings from now on!"

Jordan coughed. "That's a lot harder to get!"

Lizzie laughed and turned to him. "Don't worry. I'm sure within a year, there'll be another wedding in this family. I still have two single brothers left, you know," she said, with a wink. And turning to Lily, she said, "You, my dear, are a wonderful flower girl."
