Chapter 3: In The Star That We Both Share

Today was the day, The highschool reunion would take place at Paul and Gene's highschool. This is the place where they met, and ended it by falling in love with each other. Despite Paul getting bullied for being with Gene, he didn't care. He knew that when Gene was there he had someone to be happy with even If they did have a fight once, Paul ended up apologizing profusely and Gene knew he couldn't be mad at Paul's precious face so he accepted Paul's apology and they never had an argument again. They always talked about how the universe must have considered them soulmates because If It wasn't for their highschool years, the two would have never met and fallen so deeply In love. 

It was around 5:30 PM and the reunion would take place in 4 hours, the both of them got their outfits ready but didn't start getting ready around 7:30. Paul hopped in the shower first, and then Gene did the same. The two of them fixed their hair to look nice and then put on their outfits that they had picked out, they then decided to put on a little bit of makeup, a little foundation, and eyeliner. Paul was slightly struggling with his bowtie, Gene chuckled and said. "Need a little help?" To which Paul replied
"No!...Yes."

Which made Gene let out another chuckle, He walked over to Paul and tied his bowtie for him. They both were wearing nice outfits because they remembered the invite said to dress formal. Which meant no jeans, band t-shirts, etc. Once Gene was done he looks Paul up and down, he smiles softly and said 
"You look amazing." This comment made Paul smile and blush softly. 

"You do too baby." Paul replied to Gene's comment, Gene leans down and places a kiss on Paul's nose which made him smile a little wider. Once the time came to leave, Gene grabs his car keys and him and Paul got in the car and drove off to the school. Once they arrived Paul and Gene got out of the car after parking and headed to the doors of their school, the nostalgia hitting the both of the like a brick falling from the sky. 

"You ready?" Gene asked, Paul nodded In response.

The two of them walked through their highschool doors, as the bright lights from Inside filled their eyes they both looked around. It almost seems like nothing has changed after the two had graduated. Paul smiles softly.
"I remember that staircase, It lead to our old science teacher's class. I never liked her." He said, Gene let out a soft chuckle.
"Yeah I didn't like her either, she tried failing me for no absolute reason."
Gene and Paul shared a soft laugh, they then heard footsteps approaching them.
 It was their principal Mr. Blake. (stfu i couldn't think of a name) "Well! It's been a while since I've seen you two troublemakers!" Their principal laughed slightly. 
"Well we're here! and we can't promise we'll stay out of trouble!" Gene said slightly laughing as well. 
"Yes, well. I hope you two have fun tonight! Don't forget about the dance happening in the gym! are you two staying for that?" Their principal asked.
Paul nodded In response
"Yeah, I think Gene and I plan on staying for that."
Paul said with a smile. 
"Good! Maybe you'll find some old friends here!" Their principal said with a kind smile, he then walked away from the two. 
"Come on. let's go." Gene said and led Paul to where everyone was meeting at.
