A day had passed so quickly. Today Aletha was really excited about Rio's arrival. Aletha had spent a lot of time trying on different outfits in front of the mirror until finally, she decided to wear a light pink sweater with a white pleated skirt. After being confident with the clothes she was wearing, she switched to sitting at the dressing table. Aletha looked at all her makeup tools but the first thing she took was a hair straightener, of course, she had to do her hair first. When Aletha's hair had turned straight black like a shampoo commercial model, then she started applying make-up.
Little did Aletha know, it turned out that Arka was monitoring her in the doorway. "My sister is so beautiful! Who do you want to meet?"
"I want to meet the person I like!" shouted Aletha.
"Oh, really? Who is it?" asked Arka.
" You don't know. I met him once when we were on vacation to Lake Ranau, then we became more acquainted through the internet," Aletha answered frankly.
"What time will you be home?"
"Eummm... I don't know, but it looks like night. It's okay right, bro?" Aletha looked at Arka with a pleading look.
"I think you are old enough to make your own choices. So, it's fine with me, but I don't know what mom going to think. Have you asked permission from mommy?"
Aletha was silent for a moment, she lowered her head slightly, then replied, "I haven't asked permission."
"Well, you don't have to ask permission at all! Aletha, you are still young, being a little naughty is no big deal! I'll help you find an excuse later, you can trust me," said Arka so casually.
A sweet smile appeared on Aletha's face, she was so happy to have an older sister who was very supportive and gave her freedom, in contrast to her mother who felt restrained. Not long after Aletha sent her house location to Rio, Aletha's phone rang, it turned out that there was an incoming message from Rio saying that Rio would soon arrive at her house.
Aletha was ready to leave when she finally heard a knock on the door. Aletha opened the door and her eyes immediately looked directly at Rio who looked handsome in a blue jacket and jeans and a black plaid shirt. Rio was stunned by Aletha's appearance, it took him seven seconds to realize that Arka was standing right behind Aletha.
Aletha introduced Arka to Rio, and vice versa. There was a small conversation between Arka and Rio before Arka finally let Aletha go. Rio rode Aletha on a black Vespa motorbike that he borrowed from his friend, like a first date in general, he wanted to take Aletha to a place to eat first. Besides, Rio was sure that Aletha hadn't had lunch like him yet. Based on the information that Rio got from his friends who live in Palembang, he decided to take Aletha to eat at a well-known resto not only because the food was yummy but also because of the aesthetic and cosy interior of the resto.
while for drinks Aletha chose orange juice and Rio a cup of cappuccino for Rio. It didn't take long for Aletha and Rio to finish their plates of fried rice, but the two of them took a slow sip of their drinks so they could have a long chat in the tavern. Their conversation flowed so smoothly, not once did they lose the topic of conversation, even occasionally talking about the future and marriage. Until suddenly the glass beside their table refracted a yellowish-orange color because the sun was starting to move towards the western horizon.
Aletha checked her phone, it was already six in the afternoon, even so, she didn't want to go home. Aletha wanted to enjoy that day and made it a beautiful memory to remember one day. Aletha and Rio spent time walking around the city, tonight they looked at the sparkling street lights before finally pulled over to the funfair because Aletha refused to go to the mall. Aletha was looking for a new atmosphere, an atmosphere she didn't usually feel.
