Kageyama woke up realizing that he fell asleep on the chair that he was sitting on still holding hinatas hand. He looked down at hinata only to find him still asleep. "I'm sorry, I should have been there with you" Kageyama said laying his head on hinatas shoulder.
"mmh? Kags?" "You're awake! But... Why did you do that?" "I just- it's a long story" "I have time"
"My mom and sister, they died in a car crash and... if just...if I wouldn't have been there the-they would still be-"
Hinata was cut off by his own sobs.
Kageyama was speechless, how did he deal with something like that and could still smile? Even if it's a fake smile it must have still hurt.
" I-I'm sorry" Kageyama wrapped his arms around hinata stroking his head to calm him down. After hinata calmed down kageyama looked him in his eyes saying "Don't say sorry anymore ok? You couldn't control what happened and it isn't your fault. You didn't do anything wrong even if you think you did." Kageyama said while holding hinatas face and pushing hinatas tears away with his thumb.
Hinata just looked at kageyama feeling loved for the first time in a long time.
Kageyama couldn't help himself but to kiss hinata on the cheek. "I love you. Please never hurt yourself again, if not for you then for me"
"I-I love you too. Thank you so much, I don't think I would have survived without you" Hinata pulled kageyama in a close and tight hug.
