Sunoo's POV

After visiting Jungwon's house, I decided to take a leisurely walk before heading home. As I approached my house, I noticed the front door was open.

"Oh, my mom is here!" I exclaimed, feeling a rush of excitement. I quickly ran inside.

"Eomma!" I called out as soon as I saw her and wrapped her in a big hug.

"Ooh, Sunoo!" she responded warmly, hugging me back.

"What brings you here, Mom?" I asked, pulling back to look at her.

"Can't I visit my one and only son?" she said with a playful smile.

I laughed, "Silly mom." We moved to the dining table and sat down.

"Wow, my favorite foods!" I said, inhaling the delicious aroma of the dishes laid out in front of me.

"Well, I cooked for you because you're always eating instant ramyeon, and that's not healthy," she said with a concerned look.

I giggled, "Sorry, Mom."

We began eating, and she asked, "So, how's school?"

"I'm doing great," I replied confidently.

She nodded, satisfied with my answer, before asking, "You don't have a boyfriend yet?"

I choked a little, surprised by her directness. My mom has known I was gay since I was born, and she's always been supportive.

"Mom, I need to focus on my studies first," I said, taking a sip of water to recover.

"Well, you can study and love at the same time," she said with a knowing smile.

I shrugged, "I don't have a crush right now."

"Really? I don't believe that," she said, laughing.

I blushed and admitted, "Well, earlier today, this guy smiled at me, and I couldn't help but blush."

Her eyes lit up with curiosity. "Who is it?"

"My classmate, Riki," I said, trying to downplay it. "But it's just a small crush."

She laughed again. "Well, it's bound to grow bigger each day when you see him."

I sighed, "I guess."

After we finished eating, I volunteered to wash the dishes. As I was finishing up, my mom started gathering her things to leave.

"Stay safe, Sunoo, okay?" she said, giving me a loving look.

"Okay, Mom. You too. I love you," I said, kissing her on the cheek.

"I love you too," she said, kissing me on the forehead before heading out the door.

I watched her leave, feeling a warm sense of comfort and happiness. It was always nice having her around, even if just for a short visit.

Riki's POV:

Dear ddeunoo hyung,

I think I can't do this anymore...

I'm going to reveal myself and confess my feelings for you.

Meet me later after class, at the rooftop of our building.

I'm not a creep, please come. I will wait for you.

Earlier that morning, the air was crisp, and the sky was painted with hues of pink and orange. Jay and I had left my house, making our way to school as we usually did. But today felt different. I had been preparing for this moment for what seemed like forever.

Jay looked at me curiously. "You sure you want to go through with this?"

I nodded, clutching the letter tightly. "I have to. I can't keep these feelings bottled up any longer."

"Alright, then. Just don't chicken out," Jay said with a supportive smile.

We reached the school gates, and Jay gave me a final pat on the back. "Good luck, Riki. I'll be waiting here after school."

I watched him walk away, feeling a surge of determination. I had practiced what I would say a thousand times, but now, standing in front of Sunoo's locker, I felt my nerves kick in.

After placing the letter in Sunoo's locker, I turned to leave, only to come face-to-face with him. We both froze, the realization hitting us simultaneously.

"Riki?! What are you doing here?" Sunoo's eyes widened in surprise.
