It was just a regular day, another night of staying below the radar. He was staying within the shadows of the barely lit, quiet town. He only moved at night, rested during the day. He chose to stay around low populated areas. He was headed down the abandon part of the town he was in, thinking like he usually did since he has been free. That was until he had gone the strange feeling of knowing he was being followed.
Being trained by the different top HYDRA units decade after decade, he learned to pick up on anything. That’s why he was the best of the best, well was now that HYDRA had gone to the ground as far as he knew. He didn’t feel like they were truly gone, he shivered slightly as the motto passed through his head. “Otrezh'te odnu golovu, yeshche dva dolzhny zanyat' svoye mesto.” (Cut off one head, two more shall take its place.) His Russian accent laced perfectly with the learned language he had adapted oh so long ago.
He heard the clicks of guns. He was surrounded. “Surrender now, or we /will/ take action.” He heard a male voice call out to him from the dark. He held up his hands, waiting. He heard perhaps four agents advancing at him slowly, cautious. When they were close enough to take on, he launched his hand at one gun, pulled it away from one agent, through an elbow back at one, sent a kick to another and one last punch to another and took off. A chase pursued.
The chase didn’t last long, since there were more waiting for hi no matter which way he turned. These guys knew what he was capable of- they were able to predict his moves quick. This unnerved him. HYDRA agents were the only ones that knew his true fighting style.
A shock ran through his body paralyzing him long enough to cause him to drop. His body was oversensitive to electric currents, especially this one. It was strong enough to cause him to start slipping from consciousness. His body wasn’t just about to allow that to happen. He was fighting to get up, something he always did when he was ordered to push himself.
His wasn’t lasting, he slowly sunk to the ground, submissively. He noticed shoes in his line of sight in front of him. What he saw next was darkness closing around him as his cold eyes went to look up glare to a figure that had tazed him. His head fell to rest on the silver forearm as the dark surrounded him, pulling him into an unconscious state.
“He’s down, Coulson.” May reported, nudging the fallen soldier with her boot just to make sure.
“Report?” Coulson’s voice came from behind her.
“Tazed him. His body reacted unpredictably to a normal leveled shock.” She reported.
“Good to know. Have Fitz and Simmons work on something immediately to keep him subdued. I have a feeling our little friend here won’t play nicely later on.” Coulson said as he motioned for a group of the back up agents to bring him in.
“You won’t be going crazy on me now, are you Sir?” May looked to him with an arched eyebrow trying to hide her little smirk.
“No promises.” Coulson gave one of his small smiles as the two turned to load into the van with the criminal to head back to their ‘bus.’ On their way, May had called into Fitz and Simmons to work on a device that will keep the soldier sedated.
