Clarke's pov

I woke up from a deep sleep, as i sat up letting out a long yawn. That was the first time ive had a good sleep in months.I smiled as i saw the light streaming in through rips in the large tent. I stretched before getting up and throwing on my boots and jacket.

I walked out of the camp and looked ovef at the pit. Where is everyone? I thought to myself. I walked over to my mother and kanes tent, my mom and kane. Who wouldve ever thought my mother would find love again? I peered in to see an empty tent.

Thats when i turned to see Lincoin walking into the clearing towards me. I gave him a confused look as i walked to meet him.

"where is everyone gone?" i asked as the grounder stopped and stood before me.
"There was a light coming from somewhere near the lake, Indra sent out extra patrols." I looked at him confused. Indra was smarter then that, she wouldnt have just left the camp un armed.
"she sent me to come and collect you Clarke, you have been summoned" He smiled when i made a face at that comment.

"okay lets go...its a long walk to the Lake" I said and started walking towards the tree's with Lincoin at my heels.

We walked a few minutes without saying a word before Lincoin broke the silence. "shes going to come back someday. And it could be tomorrow, it could be in a year..." he said, keeping his eyes infront of him.
I looked over at him and frowned. "nobody expected her to be gone this long.."

"do you miss her?" he asked. I shook my head, "i miss the girl whom i thought she was" Lincoin nodded and looked up to the tree's with a smile. I smirked at him, "what are you doing?" i asked him.
"that smell. The leaves will start to fall soon. The weather will gey harsh" he said. Lexa had told me about winter before. And i had seen what it looked like in books when we were on the ark. But the whole time weve been on the ground i never even thought to think about when it would occure.

As we started to near the Lake i saw the area buzzing with people from the Ark and grounders. I looked around at them, sharing drinks and smiling at one another. It wasnt very often that the grounders and the sky people bonded like this. But it brought a smile to my face.

I looked over at Lincoin, "this doesnt look like a patrol...this looks like the whole alliance" i stated. Lincoin smiled and left as Indra and my mother approched me. "Abby tells me that today many years ago was your day of birth Clarke of the sky people. Most tree people think of this day as anything but a celebration...But Abby convinced us that this is what people of the Ark do" Said Indra in an innoyyed tone.

My mother nudged Indra with her shoulder and glared over at me. Indra rolled her eyea and smiled at me, "happy day of birth Clarke of the sky people" i smiled at Indra and nodded my thanks before my mother gave me a tight hug. "happy birthday my sweet sweet girl" she whispered in my ear.

"yeaaaa!!! Lets Partyyyy Clarke!!" I laughed to see Octavia dancing around while holding two glasses of some kimd of alcohol. I walked over to her and gave her a huge hug before taking the glass and chugging the drink back.

Lexa's Pov

I stood up from under the tree where i had made my bed from the recent night. I picked up my sword and shealthed it before putting my armour back on.

TonDC was only a few hours away. What would i say when i saw Clarke? What will she do when she see's me? Last time we spoke it was me, leaving her and her caged warriors behind on that hill beside mt weather. Though i know that the alliance wasnt broken, thinking about it took a piece of my heart.

I walked along the forest, always being aware of my surroundings. I was good at that, knowing when people are near me. Its impossible to sneak up on me.

**A couple hours later**

I watched as i started to see the shining of metal and the dust blowing in the wind. I smiled as i started to the the gray of old builings. The old buildings on TonDC.

I walked into the camp and seeing that there was not a single person there. I decided to sit down and wait for everyone to return rather then go seeking them out.

I sat close to the fire hole and started to place in some sticks, it was starting to get cold out, its gonna be a cold winter.

Clarke's Pov

I laughed as me and Octavia finished our 6th drink, im officially 18 i thought to myself. Then i realized thag if we were still in the sky today would have been the day i would get floated.

That thought made me feel sick to my stomach, so i set down my glass. It was starting to get dark out now so i decided it was time to head back to camp.

I kissed my mother goodnight and told her to let the party go on without me, it was aboit time that the grounders and sky people started to have fun with each other. After a few minutes of arguing i agreed to have Lincoin return me saftly to TonDC.

"why didnt you wanna stay? That party was for you Clarke." he said feeling kind of hurt. "Thank you for helping plan that Linc, it was amazing. Just all this excitment has gotten me tired." i said as we neared the camp. "you can head back now lincoin, i got it from here" He smiled then nodded as he started running back towards the party.

It wasnt untill i entered TonDC that i noticed that their was a fire in the pit. I looled around seeing if one of the groundefs had returned but i saw no one. I shrugged and walked towards the fire. I sat down on one of the nearby logges and warmed myself up.

Then i heared her.
"I told you we would meet again Clarke"
