CHAPTER ONE .

its been around two days since [ name ] had fainted . albedo had laid them in his bed , anxiously tapping his foot on the floor . will they wake up ? what has he done ? sucrose had tried to calm him down to no avail . klee , hearing the thud of a body hitting the floor after albedo had led [ name ] away , was kept out of the room to prevent questioning . she and the individual were rather close , much to the alchemist's dismay . she was really the main reason he kept them around now that he thinks about it .

albedo was busy thinking to himself when he heard a soft groan , causing him to look up . [ name ] ! clearing his throat , he stood and made his way over to the bed . " [ name ] ? " he called out with a hiss .

said individual opened their eyes , revealing soft [ eye color ] orbs . they gazed over at the male , panic beginning to take over . who is that ? where are they ? they sat up , scrambling to get out of the bed .

albedo furrowed his brows , taking note of the odd behavior . " [ name ] . answer me , dammit . " he huffed , starting to grow impatient .

" leave ... leave me alone . " they replied with a shaky voice . their vision had blurred , the male now looking like nothing but smudges .

this caused the alchemist to actually have concern for the individual . they would always smile when they saw him ... whats wrong with them now ? they seemed frightened of him now . he reached out an arm towards them , causing the other to stiffen from the ' unknown ' man's touch .

who is he ? he felt familiar yet ... unknown . he didnt seem to be harmful . maybe he rescued them ?? how did he know their name ? thinking about it made their head spin and ache . they squeezed their eyes shut , clenching the blanket in their hands . they just want the pain to go away .

albedo gently pat their shoulder , regret starting to sink in . he caused this mess to them . look at the pain he's caused . he curses himself for sympathizing with them . this feeling ... hes not used to it .

[ name ] slowly opened their eyes , the pain from before slowly weakening . the sound of harsh winds filled the room , startling them both . a storm . looks like theyre going to be here for a little longer than expected . " how do you know my name ? " they suddenly broke the silence , gazing up to look into the alchemist's teal eyes .

albedo froze . how should he respond ? should he tell the truth or lie ? they seem to not remember the events prior to this situation . surely it cant be ...

" we are friends . " he replied , cringing at the thought of the two being so . " you ... hit your head while helping me with cleaning . do you not remember ? "

that was a lie . why was he lying ? not even he knew . unfortunately , [ name ] didn't know any better . hell , they don't remember what had happened , so who are they to determine if its true ? " i ... dont . " they paused , looking around the room before looking out the window . " snow ... "

" it does appear to be snowing . not surprised . we are in dragonspine , after all . "

" dragon ... spine ? what is that ? "

" where we are . its terribly cold , so don't get any ideas of running off . "

seeing [ name ] frown at his bitter reply made him mentally face palm . idiot , you have to keep the act , he growled at himself before sighing . " i am joking around about that . im ... guessing you have no memory of me nor this area whatsoever ? "

[ name ] shook their head , rubbing their arm nervously from the tension .

" very well then . i suppose i will help you unlock the memories . "
