Jayla POV

"Aye! This my shit!!" My friend Tamia said dancing to the song Wishy Washy by Migos. Me, Tamia, and Taylor was in Club One at the bar. I wasn't the type to be in the club, but I decided to get out for a change and be care free.
"Can I get a strawberry margarita please?" I asked the bartender.
"Here you go" He said smiling at me, as I returned the smile. As I was reaching into my clutch to get my money, the bartender stopped me. "It's already been paid for ." I looked up, and saw a man from across the club with his drink in the air, signaling that it was him. I put my drink in the air smiling at him walking away.
I looked up from where I was standing, seeing Tamia in V.I.P dancing and talking to people. When I got up there, I saw I group of men sitting together smoking and drinking while some getting lap dances. They were all fine, but one caught my eye. From sitting down, you could tell he was tall. He looked like he was about 6'3 , brown skin, hazel eyes, and he had a curly fro. I don't know why, but I could not take my eyes off of him. His eyes were so mesmerizing. He dressed nicely also. He was wearing a black pair of Levi jeans, a YSL tee, and all black sneakers to mat--
"Ma, it's not polite to stare." The guy had said.
Shit I mumbled under my breath embarrassed that he caught me staring at him.
"My bad." I said, as I put my head down and blushed.
"Wassup Tamia " he said to Tamia. How do they know each other ? I thought.
"Hey Lj " she said to him.
"Jayla this Lj, Lj this is my friend Jayla. " she said properly introducing us.
"Nice to meet you Lj."
"Likewise." He said taking my hand and kissing it while looking me dead in the eyes. I suddenly started to blush, so I took my hand away and smiled at him while he smirked at me.
"We'll be right back." I said to Lj dragging Tamia to the side without giving him time to reply.
"What's wrong?" Tamia asked me becoming concerned.
"Who is he ?" I asked her.
"Who Lj? Me and him been knowing each other for awhile. Him and my brother is like best friends so when he would come around, I would always see him." She said.
"Oh. "
"Why , you like Lj?" She asked and started smirking.
"No." I said fast. "I'm not even attracted to him. "
"Mmhmm, well by the looks of it , he sho'll is attracted to you. "She said looking out into the club.
I looked at were she was looking , and he was looking at me long and hard, so I broke the eye contact.
"Where's Taylor?" I said trying to change the subject.
"I don't know but I tried calling her but her phone went straight to voicemail." Tamia said frustrated. "She could have told somebody she was 'bout to leave cause she was our ride home ."
"Damn man. I knew I should have took my own car but I was listening to y'all ass. " I said.
"Shit, you didn't have to listen to me. But I can ask Lj can he give us a ride -

Tamia started screaming while we were both running to the back tryna get the hell up out of their.
" You ain't going no where so get on the floor. " A man said . We couldn't see his face cause of the ski mask he was wearing.
"Nigga you better get out my fucking way!" Tamia said while trying get past the man.
"Bitch I'm not goin tell yo ass no more! Now you and yo friend need to get on the fucking floor!" The man said with a deep baritone voice.
"Bitch?! Who the fuck you calling a bit--
"Tamia just get on the floor. " I said to her .
"Fine ." She said with attitude.
As we were on the floor, I looked around trying to see what was going on. The guy that was in front of us, had went up to the front to check everything out I guess.
The door to the back was cracked open, and I saw Lj pass by the door.
"Pssst!" I said trying to get his attention. He looked at were the noise was coming from.
"What y'all still doing here?!" He whispered/yelled at me.
"We were trying to get out but this fat rude ass nigga was in our way so we couldn't leave". Tamia said.
"Come on before they see y'all ." Lj said as we were running to his car. My feet was killing me trying to run in gravel, so I took them off and held them in my hand.
"Lj look behind you !" Tamia yelled. The man with the ski mask held his gun up and was about to shoot Lj until he shot him once in his head and twice in his chest.
"Oh my gosh!" I said startled by what I just saw.
"Come on and get in the car." He said acting as if nothing just happened. I guess shooting people is a everyday thing for him I thought.
I sat in the back while Tamia sat in the from with him as he started his car.
"Y'all good?" He asked while looking at Tamia in the passenger seat and looking in his mirror at me.
"Yea" we said at the same time.
"Were am I taking y'all?"
" We going to my house. Just keep going straight and make a right. Its the second house on the right ." She said giving him directions.
Tonight was a night I will never forget
