YELENA'S POV:

I see Natasha looking at the guy who was following us, who jumps down into the sewer. But we are actually in the ventilation pipes, above the ground. I groan while I'm binding a piece of cloth to my arm, to stop the bleeding. 'You okay?' Natasha asks me. 'Yeah. Great plan. I love the part where I almost bled to death and Liliya almost got killed by a car.' 'Multiple times.' Lili's voice sounds weak. She's laying down, with her eyes closed. A teardrop falls on her cheek. 'You okay младшая сестра?' She doesn't answer. I lay down next to her. 'This is cozy,' I say. A little smile appears on her face. 'You sure?' she says. I laugh. 'Can you get up? Pain only makes you stronger, remember?' I ask her. She nods. 'I'm thinking about that every day.'

'Barton and I spent two days hiding out up here.' Natasha says while I'm helping Liliya to sit. 'Ouch...' she whispers. 'Sorry.' My eyes follow the direction Natasha's looking at. A wall with a lot of stripes on it. 'You and Barton? That must have been fun,' I say. 'Who the hell is that guy?' 'Who, skull mask?' I hear Liliya saying. Natasha looks confused at her. 'What? It's a better name than "the guy who is following us the whole time". But Yelena, tell Natasha who or what it is.' I take a deep breath. 'It's Dreykov's special project. He can mimic anyone he's ever seen. It's like fighting a mirror. Dreykov only deploys him for top-priority missions.'

'This doesn't make any sense.' Natasha shakes her head. 'Well, the truth rarely makes sense when you omit key details,' I say to her. We both look at each other. 'What is that supposed to mean?' 'You didn't say one word about Dreykov's daughter. You killed her.' Natasha nods. 'I had to. I needed her to lead me to Dreykov.' I can hear that it's hard to talk about it for her. 'Dreykov's daughter was collateral damage. I needed her to be sure.' 'And here you are, not so sure.' She sighs. 'I needed out.' I didn't heard Liliya saying a word from a very long time. I turn around, to see her playing with her bracelet on her wrist. I know what time it is.

LILIYA'S POV:

Kill them! Kill them!  No no no no, not again! The nightmares were already scary enough. Now the voice again. Natasha and Yelena are both sitting with their back in my direction, so I cover my ears to whisper to the voice to shut up. Don't be so dumb Liliya Belova. Don't resist the Red Room. We can help you. It stops after a few times saying 'go away'. Calm down again Lili. Calm down... I repeat these words in my head, but it doesn't stop the fast breathing. My hand carefully moves to my right wrist. I got an elastic bracelet on that one.

This is the bracelet (sorry if you don't like it):

The bracelet means a lot for me. When Yelena and I were free from the Red Room, she bought me this. 'So you never have to be alone again, младшая сестра,' she told me. I carefully play with it. I don't want it to break. Yelena turns around. 'Liliya! Are you okay?' Shit! Yelena knows it when I'm nervous or scared. I always play with the bracelets or elastic bands on my wrist when I need distraction from things. 'Y- Yeah I'm fine,' I say with a shaky voice. I look at Natasha. 'Lena, we can go now. "Skull mask" is gone,' she says. I smile a bit. 'Glad that I'm not the only one who's using that name,' I say, while I carefully move to the vents.

We're walking to a tank station. Natasha and Yelena are helping me with moving forward, since I can't stand on my foot. 'Shit! That hurts,' I say, while I hit the ground by accident with my foot. 'It looks broken to me. Is it okay if I fix it?' Natasha asks me. I nod. She kneels down, and grabs my foot. I look away. A huge pain in my foot makes me scream out of pain. 'Aaaaah!' 'Sorry младшая сестра,' Natasha says. 'Can you try to walk on it?' I carefully take a step with my foot. It still hurts, but less now. I can kind of walk on it. 'Thanks Nat,' I say, with a small smile on my face. 'You need to smile more Lili, it looks good on you,' Natasha says, she winks at me.

'The Red Room's still active. Where is it?' We are in the tank station store now. 'I have no idea,' Yelena says. 'You Liliya?' 'No, I'm sorry.' 'He moves location constantly,' Yelena says, while Natasha and I follow her to the back of the store. 'And every Widow is sedated on entry and exit for maximum security,' I finish Yelena's sentence. I grab something from the shelf. 'I'm just finding it hard to believe that he could stay off my radar,' I hear Natasha saying behind me. 'Did you checked the sky?' I say. 'What?' 'What if the Red Room isn't on earth, but up there?' I point at the blue skies.

'Don't be silly Lili! Somebody would've see that if something big is above their city.' Natasha grabs a few things from a shelf. 'Okay okay, it was just an idea Nat,' I say. 'By the way, where do you think we were all this time?' Silence for a few seconds. 'I thought that you both got out and were living a normal life.' 'And you just never made contact again?' Yelena asks. Another silence. 'Honestly, I didn't thought you wanna see me.' Yelena scoffs. 'Bullshit,' I say. We walk back to the front part of the store.

'You just didn't want your baby sisters to tag along, whilst you saved the world with the cool kids.' 'You weren't really my sisters,' Natasha says. What does she mean? Whatever the meaning is, it hurts. 'And the Avengers aren't really your family,' I say. 'Why do you always do that thing?' Yelena says. 'Do what?' Natasha looks confused. The thing you do when you're fighting,' I say. Yelena tries to imitate Nat's fighting pose. 'This thing you do when you whip your hair when you're fighting with the arm and the hair. And you do, like, a fighting pose.' Don't laugh Lili. Don't laugh. Don't laugh.

Yelena gets up, laughing. 'It's a...' 'What Yelena is trying to say, it's a fighting pose. You're a total poser,' I say laughing. 'I'm not a poser,' Natasha says. 'Yes you areeeee.' 'Oh come on! I mean, they're great poses, but it does look like you think everyone's looking at you, like, all the time,' Yelena says. 'All that time that I spent posing, I was trying to actually do something good to make up for all the pain and suffering that we caused. Trying to be more than just a trained killer.' Yelena looks at her big sister. 'Well, then you were fooling yourself, because pain and suffering is every day and we all are still trained killers. Except Liliya and I are not the one that's on the cover of a magazine. We're not the killers that little girls call their hero.' Yelena and I leave the shop.
