The Good Fairy frowned as she watched the events of family day unfold. Although she could not be there herself and had no children of her own, she still enjoyed to watch the going-ons of the kingdom, and was more than interested in this year's family day, having heard the villain kids would be there.
She had been quite impressed by Prince's Ben's proclamation, the Prince at such a young age, had done what his father had not been able to do in all his 48 years. Yes, the Prince had quite a good heart, and more than enough compassion to rule the kingdom.
But now as she watched the young Prince be scolded by his father, for events that were not his fault, she could not help but frown at the blindness that majority of Auradon seemed to exhibit when it came to the four villain kids.
Could they not see that these children were not their parents and had clearly been through enough hardship in their lives? Could the good people of Auradon not find it in their hearts to accept these children as their own?
It was baffling. And she could not stand for it.
Perhaps, she thought wryly, watching the Isle kids being ridiculed by their peers, perhaps it was time for her to intervene. She had seen the conditions the poor children on the isle had to endure and she could not stand anymore of this unfair treatment towards them.
Her wand sparkled as she got ready to do a spell. She could not make anyone think or feel differently to anyone else, but she could show Auradon why they were in the wrong, and hopefully get the kids taken off that dreadful island as soon as possible.

Mal was appraising the dress Evie had made her for the coronation. It was ruffled and beautiful albeit a lighter purple then she would have liked, but that was the last thing on her mind at that moment.
She glanced at the blue box she had put on four poster bed. In a few hours she would have to break the spell she had put on Ben. Because it would be excessively cruel to have him hanging on her every word even after she had taken over the world... is what she told herself.
Knock. Knock.
Evie looked up from the ruffles of her own dress, before walking over to the door. Jay and Carlos were standing on the other side of the door, in various states of disarray. They both looked like they had either had trouble sleeping or had not gone to sleep at all.
Mal couldn't blame them, it's not like she had made much of an effort to get any rest that night. The only one who seemed vaguely well rested was Evie, who's mother had taught her to get a minimum of 8 hours of beauty sleep.
Though even she looked a little worn. It looked like the stress of messing up today was weighing on all of them.
"Hey." Evie said, before stepping aside and letting them in. Technically boys were not allowed in the girls' dorms and vice versa, but then when had they ever followed those rules?
They were the only family they had here and no rules were going to keep them apart.
Everyone was in a somber mood, either from yesterday or what they had to do today, Mal didn't know. But what she did know was that as the leader if fell on her to make sure they were at their best today.
Just as she was about to open her mouth to say something— words of encouragement, or threats, who knew?— the earth shook from beneath her feet, forcing her to grab on to the bed post for support.
Then nothing.

"Ugh..."
Ben groaned, bringing a hand to his head.
