We met with Rory last week, and it went well, much to our surprise, but I'm not complaining. Today aunt Harper and I are heading to the doctor's office to meet Rory as we are having a paternity test done. Come to find out he was with mum around the time they conceived me, and he also knew things about mum like Kennedy did. He's also around the right age to be my dad, so if it isn't him, I might ask Kennedy to do a paternity test done to confirm or deny he's my dad, or if it could be someone else.

The biggest surprise we found out while meeting with Rory was that he and Kennedy are half brothers, and they share the same mum. I do not know how in the hell mum hooked up with two brothers, but I don't want to know either.

After the appointment is finished, aunt Harper, Harley, and I are going to look at vehicles, so I can buy a used car. I need a car since I am planning on attending class in the fall for my CNA, and I can't depend on anyone giving me rides to and from class for the two-week period.

Rory meets us at the doctor's office to have our mouths swabbed for the test, and the nurse tells us the results will be available and emailed to use in three days.

"Do you guys want to grab coffe or something?" Rory asks as we exit the doctor's office.

"We would love, too, but we're going to find Eth a car," aunt Harper replies, regret clear in her voice and face.

"That's okay," he relies with a smile. "Getting a vehical is important. Perhaps we can have dinner on the day the results come in?"

"We can do that for sure, but do you mind if my other two kids join us?" aunt Harper returns with a smile at him.

"Absolutly, the more the merrier," he grins as we reach our vehicals. "Where and when should me meet?"

"McDonald's!" Harper cheerfully requests as he bounes in place by the back passenger door.

"McDonald's it is then, say at 5 p.m.?" Rory chuckles with a grin, and aunt Harper agrees.

"Thanks!" Harley cheers while climbing into the back seat to buckle himself in.

"We'll see you in three days then," aunt Harper says as she settles into the driver's seat, and I say my goodbye to him.

"What kind of vehical are you looking for, Ethan?" aunt Harper asks as she drives us to the nearest car dealership.

"Um, I'm not really sure, but I'm positive that I will know when I see it," I reply while chewing on my lower lip nervously.

"That's understandable, and you will know it's the right car when you know it," she replies pulling into the car dealership, and shuts off the engine.

We climb out, and start walking around to look at the available vehicals. An employee stops aunt Harper and Harley at a Dodge Ram truck. Walking in the opposite direction of them, I stop at a black Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Mum always talked about getting one of these before she died. Looking through the windows of the Jeep, I like the dark gray interior, and the sound system. Looking over the paper that is taped on the driver's side window, to find the Jeep is a 2013 with A/C, heat, anti-lock breaks, power windows, and costs $17,990 plus tax and fees, so it will probably cost around $19,00 to purchase.

"Ethan, did you find one you like?" aunt Harper asks as she and Harley join me, and she looks over the Jeep, too.

"Your mum always wanted a Jeep like this, but don't let that control your decision, Ethan," she says as she comes back to stand beside me with Harley.

"I know, but I feel connected with this one, and I know that sounds silly," I mumble with flushed cheeks.

"It's not silly, but I just wanted to make sure," she whispers as the employee she was speaking with joins us with a wide grin.

"Is this the one?" he inquires with a nod at the Jeep.

"Perhaps," I reply, and his smile flaters slightly. "Can I take it for a test drive?"

"You sure can, just let me grab the keys," he replies before walking off toward the office, so he can get the keeps for the Jeep.

"We are coming with you," aunt Harper determindly says, and I nod in agreement as I have no objection with this - safety in numbers.

A few minutes later the man returns, and we leave with me driving, the man sitting next to me, and aunt Harper and Harley in the back seat. By the time the twenty minute test drive is over, we are back at the car dealership, and I'm buying the Jeep. We're in the builiding at the man's office, so the paperwork can be filled out, and I can pay the entire amount off my bank card. I don't want payments, and I have the money to pay it in full anyway, so why not pay it off?

Thirty minutes later, paperwork and payment is done, and we are driving off the lot toward home - aunt Harper in her car, and Harley and I in the Jeep.

"This is so cool, Eth!" he cheers from the back seat.

"I agree!" I chuckle as I follow behind aunt Harper with a wide grin.

Pulling into the driveway five minutes later, I park behind my aunt, and the three of us climb out once we shut the engines off. Hannah and Harry are out of the house to check out the Jeep before Harley and I take two steps away from it.

Three days have passed, and we're at McDonald's where we've met Rory for dinner, and check the email results together for the paternity test. I've had this email like Rory since 2 p.m. today, and it's been hard not to check it before I'm supposed, too.

Once we have our food, and we're sitting down, Rory and I pull out our phones to check the results;

'For the paternity between Rory Smith and Ethan Henderson, the results are as follows:

There is a 99.9% positive match that Rory Smith is Ethan Henderson's biological father.'

My jaw drops in shock as I was certian I was Kennedy's son since he, Kent, and I look so much alike. I guess since Kennedy and Rory are half brothers, that is probably why. Guess I will let them know that I am not Kennedy's biological son, so their precious money is safe.

"Oh my! This is so awesome!" Rory breathes out with wide eyes as we stare at each other.

"Ethan, aren't you going to say something?" Hannah asks after my moment of silence.

"I, I, I'm so excited, and shocked, so I don't know what to say," I manage to say in response.

"Totally understandable as I'm feeling the same way!" Rory murmurs as all of us start to eat.

This has to be the strangest, yet best day of my life.
