4 years later

i huffed getting out of bed to feed avi. we had to drive back to chicago today because he wanted me and avi to be there for a little get together.

honestly i didn't wanna go. i haven't been back to chicago since i left. the whole place just traumatizes me foreal.

but after months and months of planning this i decided to go.

"what you want to eat" i said

"cereal" he said

"unt uhh you been eating nothing but sweets you want sum ... never mind you want pancakes" i asked realizing i had a sweet craving too.

"we going to see dad" he asked

"yes we are so you gotta eat fast" i said giving him his ipad.

kaleb walked out the room half sleep.

"hey little man" kaleb said to avi

"hey" he said not taking his eyes off the ipad

i rolled my eyes. i pecked his lips and he just hugged me while i made the batter.

"you okay going alone what if he take you again" kylen said joking

"boy he has matured a lot he aint gon take me" i laughed

"whatever how long y'all gon be there" he asked

"i'm staying for a day or two and leaving avi down there why won't you just come" i said putting the bacon in the oven

"he wouldn't want that" he said

"in all honesty ... who gives a fuck it's been 5 years aint no way yall still got little problems"

"you know he still loves you ion got time for him to be watching us like a hawk with pitty eyes wishing he did better for y'all" he said

"yea yea whatever" i said

"dads calling" avi said answering on his ipad

"hey dad" he said

"hey what you doing" isaiah said

"i was watching iron man" avi said

"oh okay you miss me" he asked making avi nod his head

i finished the food and sat it in front of tripp.

"hey kayla" isaiah

"hey" i smiled

"what time y'all getting on the road" he said

"after i get us dressed for the day" i said

"okay text me" he said

i nodded and then hung up giving the ipad back. i left him with kaleb as i laid out his outfit. i grabbed his stuff and started running his bath water.

i put sum bubbles in and sat down for a few minutes and him came running in all stinky.

i just laughed as i took his clothes off him and sat him in the tub.

i washed him up real good

"mama" avi said

"yes"

"why i got two daddy's" he said

"i told you already" i said

"yea but my friends at daycare only got one" he said i put his shirt on him.
