???
Ranboo wouldn't exactly describe the feeling of waking up as good anymore.
To be fair, they did wake up without an outside force making them, so that was good.
And the first thing they saw when they opened their eyes? A giant white circle with a smiley face on it.
What.
"Morning, sucker." The voice was familiar.
Probably because it was Dream. Unlike two months ago, he had altered his blending-in appearance when walking among mortals. He'd gotten tired of looking like a human, being more likely to be mocked after two months ago, so the next best thing was a purely white ball head. On said head, there was a smiley face similar to the mask, except the expression could change now. That meant eye contact, which the tired child wasn't crazy about. His clothes were practically the same though, yet he seemed to look more battle ready for some reason, with small pouches of potions and other jars. He looked older too. Or, as much as you can for having a ball as your head.
"D-umm-"
Dream held up a hand up to the kid. It was also a plaster white, and more skeletal looking. "Hey, save your strength, or whatever." He had stopped leaning over the kid, and was now standing beside the bed that the kid wasn't aware of. "Alright I'm just gonna cut to the gist. You're not supposed to be here so I'm gonna ask you to leave."
Ranboo tried to tilt their head, but their neck hurt. That sucked. "Huh?"
"You know," Dream made motions towards the rest of the room that Ranboo couldn't see was they were still laying down. "This part of the world- this dimension! There's actually an entire rule book that you're clearly not following. It's Volume 3, it includes all rules about the End."
That was strange. He said "End" like it was a place. Tubbo had read to Ranboo before, and closed a book shouting "THE END!" As loud as he could and it had scared them. They didn't have time to remember that though. But anyways, Ranboo didn't realize that the word was a place. And that, for some unknown reason, sounded familiar.
Dream crossed his arms, "Honestly, I don't want my Mom, you should know her, goddess of Creation, to find out about a kid doing crime. She would give like, the worst punishment ever. No one has ever broken that rule before now, so I applaud you, Ranboo. Trust me, I would've broken it before you if I literally physically could." He clapped. It didn't sound as positive as Dream's condescending-yet-happy tone.
Ranboo didn't know what to say, "Uh, th-thank you?"
Dream laughed. "Alright kid." He pat their head. It wasn't a show of affection, it actually hurt. Probably because their entire head had burns. "Welp, I gotta go. I'm doing you a favor!" And with that, the ball-headed man blipped out of existence.
Ranboo blinked, confused. "What...?" There was no one there to ask that question to. Dream either didn't realize that the kid didn't remember him or just didn't care. Anyways, the child then looked around, and instantly panicked.
The room was made of wood. Ranboo couldn't remember the last time they'd been in a room. Probably the Stronghold that they woke up in so long ago.
