A/N: Wow, it took quite some time to write this chapter. Making it was definitely long and hard. Dirty thoughts aside, I hope you’ll enjoy this and I will put up the next part hopefully before the month ends. Be awesome, everybody! Oh wait, you already are.
[Archer’s POV]
“Argh!!!” I shouted as I sat up straight.
“Whoa! Take it easy there, man. Everything’s alright.” Tyson said from beside me.
I held my chest as I steadied my breath. “It was just a bad dream, just a bad dream.”
“What was?” Tyson asked me with a worried look on his face.
I shook my head. “It…it was nothing.” Was it? Were Syschela, the shadow people and my role as the shadow elemental all just a dream? I really hoped that I was right. Yet, why did my body ache?
Then, I remembered last night. The heavy rain, the crash…the chaos. What was I doing? After the mysterious shadow and its pets left, I felt like I wanted to cause so much suffering. What possessed me to do such a thing? Now, my body was badly bruised and my ears were ringing. It was like somebody blasted audio speakers at me.
“Archer, you alright there?” Tyson asked.
“Yeah, I think I’m alright.”
“Are you sure? You look troubled?”
I nodded my head. “Where are the others?”
“I’m not sure. Somewhere in the mansion, I guess.”
It was then I realised I was in Alexis’ mansion. “Where is she?”
“Like I said, I’m not sure.”
Just then, the door opened and Tyson’s sister Sylvia came in holding a bowl of fruits.
“Hi, Archer.” She said shyly.
“Hey, Sylvia. How’s it going?” I asked.
“I’m…fine.”
She sat grabbed a chair and sat next to Tyson.
“Finally, some food! I’m starving.” Tyson said as he grabbed two apples and finished them in ten seconds flat.
“You’re still hungry? You just ate lunch fifteen minutes ago.” Sylvia asked him.
“A man’s got to eat what a man’s got to eat.” Tyson said between mouthfuls.
Despite his appetite, Tyson has never had fat anywhere on him. There’s only been muscle.
“Well, I think I’ll go look for the others. See you guys later.” I said getting out of bed.
“You sure you’ll be alright? You haven’t fully recovered yet.” Tyson asked as he was mowing down three bananas.
“I’ll fine. Don’t you worry.” I said as I walked out the door.
I walked down the hallway determined to find two people. One to apologize for a bad date and one to have his lights knocked out. As I was walking down the hallway, I passed by some windows. Looking out, I could see the green, well-kept lawn that the Spaxons owned.
It was odd, having a girlfriend who was a higher social class than you but Alexis acted like she had an average life. If you didn’t know her that well, you wouldn’t see anything special about her. She dressed casual, talked casual and never mentions a word about her family’s wealth. Thinking about her, I felt really worried and hoped that she was okay.
Eventually, I made it to the stairs. As I was coming down the stairs, another person was coming up the stairs with his head down. When he looked up, I saw the same hair colour and eyes as Alexis. It was her brother, Alessandro.
