Derek takes Spencer out for a proper date, and Spencers very nervous...hes never been on a date before

Derek hummed to himself, walking over to Spencer by the drink station "Hey there, Pretty Boy~" he leaned in, pecking the other males lips softly and smiled

"Dereekkk" the other male whined, flustered "We're at work..." he took a sip of his very oversugared coffee, face as red as his sweatervest

Morgan chuckled, leaning against the counter. "Oh c'mon Reid, I was just showing my boyfriend some attention..is that illegal now or something?" he teased his lover, leaning on the counter and stole his cup, making a face "I dont know how you drink this, its like, seven cups of sugar in a teaspoon of coffee-"

The slightly shorter male rolled his eyes "Its not that bad..youre just dramatic. And make your own, coffee stealer" he smiled, walking over to his desk, sitting and turning in his swivel chair and sighed, sifting through paperwork. Derek walked over, sitting on the top of his desk, gently kicking his leg "So, Pretty Boy, I was thinking....we've been together for a while, right?"

Spencer looked at him and blinked "Eight months, two weeks, four days, to be exact...seven hours, four minutes and thirty two seconds and counting to be even more exact" the man with the eidetic memory calculated ".....why-?" He was nervous to say the least...he thought Derek was getting tired of dating him...or worse;...ok, maybe there wasnt anything worse than that, but he was still panicking

Derek picked up on this "Calm down, baby, its nothing bad....actually, its the exact opposite. I wanna take you out on an official date, not just a drink after a case, or pizza and a movie at my place on the weekends...I wanna make it last the whole day. I wanna spoil you, I wanna take you to your favorite places, I wanna end the day with a sunset picnic and a walk through the park, stargazing as we lay under a tree.." he smiled, gently taking his hand

The other males eyes widened slightly, tearing up..he wasnt used to this kind of affection and attention from another "Wh-Why..?" he asked, still looking up at the chocolate eyed man, his tone and feature apparent towards his confusion and apprehensiveness

He chuckled "Because I love you, silly boy" he kissed the top of his head, smiling. "I made plans for this weekend, when we're both off. That ok with you?"

I mean you already did it, so... he thought to himself, sighing a bit "Yea..yea, thats fine" he smiled softly, though he was still wary about the whole idea...

Derek smiled, kissing his nose "You'll love it, baby, I promise" he took his own cup and went to his office, finishing paperwork he had left from the night before

Spencer sighed, head in hand....he was flattered, of course. No partner has ever tried to be this thourough or this sweet to him..but Derek was special. Derek made his heart flutter every time he looked at him. Derek made him feel safe and secure, no matter how many times his insecurities get in the way....he can see himself starting a family with Derek one day

After work that day; it was Friday, Spencer grabbed his coat and satchel, heading to Dereks office to retrieve his boyfriend "You ready, Der?" he smiled tiredly, leaning on the door frame ever so slightly
