Sweet Moment in time with a twist Ch 11

After fleeing from Nakamori Keibu, Hakuba that bloodhound detective along with the rest of the police force headed straight to the Kudou's manor.

It was quiet not a single sound was heard except for the low hum of the air conditioner in the silent night. Luckily for him, Kudou-Kun was still on his way back home from solving yet another murder case. Though he didn't expect the little lady from next door to be house-sitting till the high school detective came back.

Haibara turned on the light and was at the top of the stairs arms crossed looking down at the thief from the stairway. Kaito froze on the spot he started to feel his stomach twisting with how anxious he felt because he knew that this 'little girl was more dangerous than Hakuba or the witch.

"...."

"Hm? What are you waiting for? Go on now Kudo-Kun will be home soon so hurry up and finish setting up your 'stage' already,"

She dismissed him with a wave of her hand seemingly uninterested in whatever thiefly activities he was up to. Instead, she placed her hand on her palm and sent him an all-knowing smirk causing him to stiffen before rushing off to place a note where Shinichi would surely see.

Shinichi returns home to Haibara standing at his doorway she gives him a wave before heading back to Professor Agasa's house and says,

"Don't make him wait too long now..."

Confused by what she meant Shinichi opened the door to find a string hanging in the doorway with a little note that said pull me.

Curious as to what was waiting he pulled on the said string and confetti burst out as a banner with a set time and location fell into his view. The signer left his obvious and famous signature a person with a top hat and monocle along with a sly smile showing all teeth.

[Meet me on the roof when the bells chime at 12 and the night star shines its brightest]

Just as the note says he waits until the clock strikes 12 and opens the latch to the rooftop. Climbing out he sees the ghostly white figure shimmering in the moonlight.

"Good evening great detective"

With a snap of his fingers, a single Blue rose appears in his extended hand. Kudou took the blue rose admiring its lovely color. He looked up at the thief with a questioning stare.

"Why are you here? I thought you already finished your heist."

"Oh, I'm not here to steal a jewel..."

The Magician purrs. The latter scoffs as he says,

"Here to turn yourself in then"

"It is not that either, I still have unfinished business, and I'm sure you know that, great detective"

Kudou tilts his head slightly in confusion. While the latter couldn't help but grin at the charming action. Taking the chance to take a few steps closer leaning in to fully take in all of the Raveonette's charms.

"I'm here to steal your heart, Kudou Shinichi."

Shinichi felt the blush rising to his face, the figure in white stood still with a soft smile. He took his beloved detective's hand and bowed leaving a kiss on the back of the other hand.

His white cape fluttered as he took a few steps back. KID was at the edge of the roof and then let himself fall back. Kudou gasped and rushed forward and was about to scream when suddenly a figure of white abruptly flew up towards the sky.

Kaito used his hang glider to guide him upwards and was rewarded with a cute concerned expression on his meitantei's face. He took out the small clear bag of chocolates that was laced with a purple ribbon and let it drop down as the mini parachute attached expanded, slowly floating down to the detective below.

Shinichi looked up and saw Kaito kid flying over the roof in the moonlight as a small package drifted down towards him. He caught the small package and looked through its contents.

There were chocolates in the shapes of doves, jewels that he once stole and returned, hearts, and a single kid signature-shaped chocolate. Kudou picked one of the pieces up as he sat down on the rooftop and took a bite.

"It's sweet..." he murmured. Recalling the kiss on the back of his hand he felt his face become hot. He pushed the thought aside pinching his cheek trying not to think of him and noticed the paper left inside the bag. He picked up the small note,

To my dearest meitantei, have I succeeded in stealing the jewel desire tonight?

I shall wait for your response, till we meet again at my next heist.

I have prepared a Special performance to capture your heart at my next heist.

Shinichi lingered, gazing at the moon where the figure of white slowly faded into the clouds. A pink blush dusted his cheeks as he mumbled.

"Baka, you took my heart long before...."
