"hey sav," jack smiled when the call connected.

"hey jack," savannah smiled back.

"whatcha doinnn?" he asked, looking at the girl carefully curling her hair with a curling wand.

"getting ready," she said.

"ooh, for what?" jack asked.

"nothing to be honest, just needed a self care day," savannah said.

"felt, this covid crap has been crazy," jack said.

"yeah, it really has," savannah said.

"well since you're getting ready, wanna have that date a bit early?" jack asked.

"sure, why not, i'm bored and have nothing to do," savannah shrugged.

"cool, pick you up in thirty?" jack asked.

"sounds good."

"great, see ya then."

"can't wait," savannah smiled.

jack smiled back and ended the call, jumping up to start getting ready.

he quickly but carefully got ready, making sure he looked perfect.

after he made sure his hair was perfect, he left the house, making his way to savannah's to pick her up.

his nerves slowly grew with each mile he drove, getting closer and closer to her house.

no matter what, she had a way of making him nervous like no one else.

once he pulled into the driveway, he took a deep breaths before getting out and walking to the front door, ringing the doorbell.

"hey," savannah smiled.

"hey sav," jack smiled back. "you look stunning."

"so do you," savannah blushed.

"ready to go?" jack asked.

"yup," savannah replied.

jack grabbed her hand and led her to his car, opening the passenger door for her.

"so, what do you have planned this time?" savannah questioned as jack made his way out of savannah's neighborhood.

"a picnic and a movie at a private park," jack smiled, moving his hand so he could hold savannah's.

"really? that sounds awesome," savannah smiled.

on the way to the park the pair sung their lungs out to their favorite songs, happy to be in each other's presence.

"jack this is so beautiful," savannah gushed as jack pulled up to the park.

he parked the car and got out, quickly running to savannah's door to open it, causing her to giggle when he grabbed her hand, pulling her up.

jack opened the door in the back, grabbing the blanket and picnic basket.

"let's go," he smiled, intertwining their hands and walking towards a spot in the field of grass.

they found a spot under a tree that was right beside the lake.

savannah watched jack and he sat the picnic up perfectly.

"jack, this is all so amazing, i really don't deserve you," savannah smiled.

"don't say that, you deserve the world," jack said, wrapping his arm around her waist and planting a soft kiss on her lips.

"well good thing you're my world," savannah smiled, causing jack to smile as well before sharing another kiss.

"let's eat!" jack exclaimed, sitting down on the blanket.

savannah laughed and sat down as well, immediately taking a bite of a sandwich.

the pair ate in silence, listening to the noises of nature.

it was a beautiful day, and no one was at the park.

it was just savannah and jack. jack and savannah.

and that's all they needed.
