The Faithful Knight

Chapter 1

"Zelda, I need you to go visit the spring of Power. Your power has not yet been awoken, hopefully it will soon though" the King said sternly.
"Yes father." Zelda said In a sad sort of tone while looking down at the long, cold hallway floors.
The king continued his duties with no hesitation and walked away before Zelda could get even one word out of her mouth. So as Zelda walked down the long, cold, empty halls. She heard footsteps other than her own. Then she remembered Link, he was so quiet all the time she forgot he was often there. Sometimes she couldn't even hear his footsteps behind her. Soon they reached the stables. Zelda stopped for a moment to see the horses, but without hesitation Link went straight for Epona. She looked glad to see him as always. He rubbed her forehead as a greeting and then turned back to look at Zelda who was still standing there. She realized what she was doing and went for Storm. He seemed a bit moody and wouldn't let Zelda near him. Link looked over to see her struggling and slowly and calmly walked over and soothed the horse. He calmed down almost immediately. "Wow, horses like you don't they?" Zelda said with almost jealousy. "Not really," Link thought to himself. They both got everything they needed and headed off. As usual Link followed closely behind her. "Should I say something?…" Zelda wondered
So instead, she looked back at him and smiled. He looked away as if he were nervous about something. "Are you ok?" Zelda asked, concerned about him. Link nodded. "You should talk more, I've only heard your voice once or twice before." Zelda said empathetically. "What is there to say…" Link said in a stern tone but his voice was a bit Shaky. Zelda knew that something was wrong but didn't want to push any buttons.
