(sorry that this chapter took so long to post, I rewrote it about 7 times before it came out how I intended)

Ruv had a slight smirk on his face.

"Maybe I will," you said with a big grin. You got up and made your way over to the man.

He reached out and grabbed your hips, pulling you onto his lap. Your face was redder than a cherry, and he took full notice of it, "Not so tough now, are you?"

"Says who?" you spoke in a quiet voice, flustered.

The man put a finger under your chin and held your head upwards to meet his gaze, "Says me." He had an evil smirk on his face, taking full advantage of your embarrassment.

You just stared at him, then into his white eyes. They were mesmerizing. Beautiful.

For a few moments, the two of you just looked at each other, the smirk slowly fading from his face and the embarrassment from yours. He began to lean in, and you did too. Your soft lips made contact, and you felt a rush of emotion overpowering you. The man caressed your face, melting fully into the kiss. You swore you could feel the corner of his lips upturn. The moment was wonderful, you wished it could last forever...

...but it didn't.

"Ruv!" said a sweet feminine voice from the bottom floor. You and the Russian pulled away from one another, both of your faces were red. He helped you off of him as he stood, staring at the floor with wide eyes during the entire process.

"Ruvy, are you in your hideaway again?" she asked. You could tell she was coming closer to the staircase.

"shit-" Ruv whispered under his breath. He lightly tossed the empty wine bottle into one of his bins, covering it with random stuff. You took off his jacket and handed it back to him.

Just as he took it, the girl walked through the doorway, "There you are, you meanie-" she blinked, "..um, am I interrupting something?" she asked, her cheeks glazed over with a light blush.

"N-No!" the tall man said, trying to hide his dark blush with his jacket.

Sarv stood in silence, watching him struggle to put his jacket on while he cursed to himself. You tried to hold in a giggle, not entirely having a grasp on the situation.

Once he was settled he sighed audibly, then looked up at the Neopolitan girl, "what."

She giggled, "Oh nothing~" She smirked at him and then looked at you.

Trying to think of something other than what just happened, and make your brain work correctly through the inebriation consuming you, you managed to speak without too much slurring, "Hey Sarv...I was looking for you before."

She tilted her head, "Oh? I'm sorry! What did you need?" Ruv looked at you as if to say thank you.

"I needed a charger...my friend called before and my phone ended up dying. He's...a bit pissed," you looked down and held your arm.

"Oh, dear. Come come, we can go check my office and see if I have one." She smiled and turned around.

Ruv sighed and looked at you, mouthing the words 'thank you'. You smiled and mouthed 'you owe me'. The man rolled his eyes and grinned as much as his face would allow.

"Are you coming, Y/N?" Sarv asked.

You glanced at the tall man beside you and began following her.

Ruv watched you as you walked off, his heart sinking slightly. He sighed and sat back down in his chair. He looked over to the seat you had been in earlier and grinned to himself, his cheeks filling in with a soft pink.

He then looked to the ground. She was drunk. She probably didn't even know what she was doing... Shaking his head, he slumped back into his chair. You can't even get attached to people anyways..you're lucky you've been around this long...

The man sighed and put his head back, looking at the ceiling. She is pretty though...

You walked through the long corridor you had been in previously, following the girl while watching the way she walked. It was sort of mesmerizing; the way she swayed her hips in a slight rhythm.

"Here we are!" she stopped to open the door, snapping you out of your trance. "There should be something that could help you in here..." she leaned in front of her desk and began searching.

Her office looked as if a fairy princess had vomited over the furniture. Everything was pink and lacey, with a few traces of white and brown here and there. One thing caught your eye, however. There was a large image of a not-so-young Ruv holding Sarvente. Her headdress was replaced by Ruv's ushanka hat, and she was on Ruv's shoulders with her arms wrapped around him, a large smile adorning her face. They were both blushing, and Ruv looked as if he was almost smiling.

"Hmm...oh! Here we are," the girl stood up and looked at you, noticing your gaze. "Oh. That, uh... was after I found him. When we finally made up..." she glanced away uncomfortably.

"When you found him...made up? What do you mean?"

Sarv handed you a portable charger with a small cord, "This church was a ruin before...nothing but scrap. After running away from the law and making his way here... he stayed in the ruins. For some reason, I had also been weirdly drawn to this place... and I found Ruv," she looked away, "We used to be friends as children...but...he didn't remember me. In fact...he hated me."

"Oh...Sarv..."

She sighed, "It's fine. I don't really blame him...I was very, how you say, persistent. It went on for about two months until...well...let's just say we worked everything out eventually... and he started to remember me a little bit," she giggled, "kind of hard to forget someone with these kinds of markings on their face."

"I was going to ask about that... you and Ruv both have them."

"They're birthmarks of some sort. At least I think so anyways.. Anyhoo- you must be tired. I'll send you on your way...you remember where your room is, correct?"

You nodded, "Thank you, Sarvente."

"It's really no problem Y/N. Goodnight." she said sweetly, her mouth curved into a light smile.

You took one last passing glance at the photo on the wall and walked out of Sarvente's office. There was something about the image that made you feel a bit guilty about your moment spent earlier with Ruv. And with that thought, you wondered if he had disappeared again, or stayed in his corner. You also wondered how far that event might have wandered had Sarv not interrupted you.

As those thoughts left your mind, you had reached your room, the hallway seeming much colder than before. You entered the room, grabbing your phone off the bed and plugging the charger into it. Setting the device aside and plopping down onto the mildly comfortable bed, you fell asleep almost immediately. As you dreamt, a stoic, pale faced man remained in your thoughts.
