You woke up in a panic due to a horrible dream. Something about a redhead wearing black? Shaking your head, you sat up and checked the time on your phone; it appeared you had only slept for a few hours, as the display read 6:03. There were numerous messages from Whitty, Hex, and even a few horribly spelled ones from Pico...he was clearly still shitfaced.

Whitty: Y/N why did you hang up on me? / Hello? / Y/N this isn't funny. / Fucking answer me dammit! / I swear to fucking god if that asshole did something to you I'm going to kill him.

Hex: I have removed Whitmore's device. / We are beginning to worry about you Y/N. / Whitmore has invited himself into your home, he will be waiting for your arrival. Please hurry back.

Pico: I srill lpvr kwotj / I twxyed hom / I mjsd leotj

"fuck...ugh...Whitty..." you cussed to yourself quietly. His messages had been sent after your phone died, but Hex's latest message was recently sent; about 45 minutes ago. You sighed and thought it best to get out of the two odd-owners-of-the-church's hair. Slowly making your way out of the cot, you grabbed your top and put it back on, shielding you from the eerie cold. You grabbed the charger Sarv had given you and made your way to the door. There was no light shining through the bottom of the door, so you assumed that the platonic couple had gone to sleep. Stealthily, you made your way down the hall to the office, peering around each corner to make sure that there was no one there.

As you stood in front of the door, you thought you could feel a presence with you, but thought it to just be your nerves. You turned the handle gently and peaked into the room. No one was there. So, being as quiet as possible, you stepped in, set the item on the woman's pink desk, and walked out, slowly closing the door.

You made your way out of the grand building and walked back home. Though, you felt as if you were missing something.

Ruv awoke to a clattering of dishware. The unmistakable sound of ceramic hitting the floor made him uneasy, knowing that Sarvente was always so gentle with her china. He got up without issue and made his way to the kitchen, still in his nightshirt and baggy pajama pants.

Sarvente was cussing in an unrecognizable language, clearly frustrated as she cleaned up the mess before her. It seems she was in a hurry and has ended up knocking plates on the floor.

"Sarv, what're you-"

"Ah! You're finally awake!" the woman walked over with plates of breakfast and handed it to Ruv, "Go give these to the people in the main hall."

Ruv, clearly confused, asked, "What...is going on?"

"The storm last night. It flooded homes in the green light district, so they came here to recover... I now realize how long it's been since I've dealt with more than one dependant at a time."

The man looked down, wondering how bad the storm had gotten after he got back home last night. Then, a memory hit him like a brick, "Y/N- where is she? Is she still here?"

"She left. Early this morning."

Ruv felt a pinch in his chest as Sarvente spoke. The woman who had overtaken his dreams had left him, just like that, without saying goodbye. Almost as if she really was a dream.

"I was going to the ladies' room this morning and saw her entering my office...I assume to return that charging device I gave her. Then she just left...speaking of which, once you deliver those meals, that are getting cold by the way..could you go and fix the room she was in? These people will need somewhere to rest."

The man nodded solemnly, turning and making his way into the main hall.

Four people were waiting there: a pale woman with purple hair, two children in costumes, and a woman who looked as if she were starved.

Ruv walked over to the woman with the two kids beside her, "Um...here. Sarv made meals to hopefully make you feel more comfortable while you stay here," he handed the woman her plate and the two boys theirs.

"Thank you, mister. Boys, say thank you.." she looked at the two with a hint of sternness.

"You look like Slender Man," said the boy dressed as a skeleton. The boy in the pumpkin outfit perked up, "Do you like Halloween? It is espookiest time of year."

The woman rolled her eyes, "That's...probably the best you're going to get out of him. Again, thank you."

Ruv pained a slight grin and quickly walked off, back toward the kitchen to retrieve the last plate for the other woman.

After delivering the final meal, and that terribly uncomfortable encounter with that clearly starved woman, Ruv made his way to the room where the girl he dreamt of the previous night had stayed. What if they hadn't shared that moment in his hideaway? What if that had been in his head? Was he sick for having thoughts like that? Was he crazy?

He shook his head and opened the door, a cold gust of wind pluming out at him. He shivered slightly as an eerie feeling washed over him..the cold hadn't bothered him in the slightest. Making his way over to the bed to remove the sheets, he noticed a slight glint of something on the floor. The tall man leaned down to examine the object, which was covered slightly by the bedframe. Ruv reached under the bed and grabbed the object. It was freezing, it had almost felt as if it burned his fingertips as he placed them upon the surface. As he pulled it out, he realized what it was.

"Her cell phone...?" the man examined the case of the device and remembered the girl using it to message her friends the night before. It was her phone. Yet, it still didn't convince him that they had a shared encounter the night before.

Ruv stood, still staring at the device in his hand. He needed to return it to Y/N, but...he had no idea where she lived. He couldn't use the phone to call her friends because it was locked by a passcode. Maybe...he could go to the area they were in last night..? By the bar..? He had to try..to return her phone of course. And..to maybe see her again.

The man rushed out of the room, not having done his job, and made his way down the hall.

Sarvente was passing through, "Oh, Ruvy, did you fix up the-"

"I'm heading out; I'll be back later, Sarv," he rushed out the main entrance and was off.

Sarv stood in silence, staring at the doorway her partner had exited. She shrugged, "Kids these days..." and walked off, returning to her duties.
