I fast walk inside while my palm is still in my cheeks. I accidentally bump into Lucy "Al you're blushing real ba-" I cut her off by grabbing her in the fore-arm. I dragged her to my room and slammed the door behind her.
"What is wrong with yo-"
"I LIKE HIM" I shout and covered my mouth with my hand after i realize i said it out loud. Lucy was really confused "Who? Like who? Him who? Do i know him?"
"Yes, you know him very well" It took Lucy a second to realize, then a grind starts to form in her lips "IT'S EDMUND ISN'T IT?" She shout.
"Yes yes ok now calm down" I hissed "Right—ok sorry" Lucy said trying to hold back her smile but failed, then she started giggling.
"You know Caspian's birthday is in 5 days" She smiled "And he's going to throw a party. A dancing party, so you need a partner" and she started grinning.
"Ok, can i go with you?" I ask. I don't wanna go alone cause than it'll be awkward "No, i'm going with Peter, cause Peter don't wanna go alone and i can't go with other guys" Lucy crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.
"Alright, it's fine, i can just go with Sus-"
She cut me off by saying "Susan is going with Caspian, obviously. So your only option is Edmund" She smirked
"Nonononononono absolutely not" Going to a dance? with your crush? No.
"Well he's probably gonna ask you and i myself know you won't reject him" she said and start wiggling her eyebrows up and down.
"Yea no, he's not asking me. nope" I said whilst shaking my head. She scoffed in disbelief "What makes you think that?"
I stayed silent for a while "Honestly i don't know, just a feeling"
"And your feelings is wrong. Very wrong" I glared at her "Honestly if i was Edmund i would ask you to be my plus one"
"You're just trynna give me butterflies in my stomach, and no it's not happening, he is not asking me" I don't wanna get my hopes up, cause then if he didn't ask me, i'll be sad. It's cringey, i know.
Lucy just shrugged "Welp whatever you say, but i'm saying 'i told you so' when he actually asked you" she smirked.
I just sighed and rolled my eyes, I can feel a little smile forming on my lips and tried to hold it, then i realized. I got my hopes up.

Two days have passed and Edmund have not asked me yet. Maybe he doesn't know about the dance? I decided to find Edmund. I walk along the corridors but, i'm still not used to this castle so i got lost again.
But good thing i met Edmund tho.
"Lost again?" He chuckled
"Yea, this castle is big" I pressed my lips together.
"Why does every time i got lost in this castle, i always met you?"
"Hmm i don't know, maybe we're soulmates or something" He joked "and the universe wants us to meet more often" He smirked. The silence filled the room for a second.
"Oooo Alora" Edmund started "What?" i asked "You're blushing" He giggled. "I'm not" I put one of my palm in my cheek.
"You are, and the more we spoke the more red you got" He said whilst he curled his index finger and brushed it on my cheek, then put his hand back at his back.
It definitely caught me off guard, i can feel my cheeks heat up "Uhm—yea i have to go" I turned around and started walking, i can hear him chuckle and shouted "You're still lost. Need some help finding your room?" I turned around and shout back "Yes please!"

Once i got back to my room, i layed my back in my bed 'i'll just ask him about the dance later.. or tomorrow' I thought. Seconds later i heard a nock on my door. I got up from my bed and opened my door and i saw Lucy "Hi, can i come in?" Of course i said yes.
"Did he ask you yet?" Lucy said once she got inside. I closed my door and turned to her "No, so you don't have the chance to say 'I told you so'" I smiled. "Well we still have 3 days left soo"
I sigh roughly "Does he even know about the dance?" I said in a rough tone, crossed my arms and sit in my bed. Lucy looked at me and joined me to sit. She put her hand on my shoulder "Just give him some time Al"
I turned my head to face Lucy "Yea, you're right, i'll just wait"
