Neglect PART 3 ; Rin Matsuoka x Reader

Chapter 1

"The final school bell finally rung, you walked out of your class holding onto Rin's cap. You put it on your head ruffling your hair a little. "Damn, Where's Gou at?" You waited impatiently. "She said to meet here after the bell rung.. Come on.." You sighed heavily. "Maybe I'll just-" "(Name)-Chaaan!" You turned your head to see Gou, the girls' ponytail swinging side to side almost like a tail. "Eh! Finally, you're here! I've been waiting," Gou panted a little, finally catching up. "Relax! I was only a few minutes behind. But knowing you, that's like a lifetime." You rolled your eyes and giggled at your friend. "Gee, come on. I don't wanna be at this hell-hole any longer." You two started to walk out of the school, once you got outside, Gou looked at you, raising an eyebrow. "You and that hat, you almost got it taken away in class today." You smiled a warm smile at her. "Eh, almost, but I didn't!" "You need to be more careful hiding that. And hey, what's with the cheery mood? You seem happier than you usually do."
Your (e/c) Eyes lit up. "Well, Rin comes home soon! Don't you remember, your brother?! After 2 years, he's finally coming back. I can't describe how happy I am." During these two years, granted, it was hard, but Rins departure did give you some type of closure. You changed a bit, in your mood and appearance. Sure, your appearance was what people saw at first, But what was most noticeable in the 2 years was your change in mood. You expected yourself to be depressed, which, you were at times, but Rin saying those words to you gave you hope and put you into a better place. You and Rin kept in touch, but it didn't feel the same. But you took what you could get, You couldn't wait to hear those words again. "Oh yeah!" Gou cheered. "I'm excited too! Onii-chan is really excited to see us!" You blushed, butterflies in your stomach. "Y-Yeah... I miss him too..." You were daydreaming about Rin until you finally got to Gou's house. "So, you're gonna get your stuff and come over yeah?" You nodded your head. "Yep! I'll be back." You raced to your house, telling yourself this is gonna be something great.

"G-Gou... Do you think we can Video chat Rin? I'm just so excited and.." You blushed, embarrassed asking her, you two were best friends but you didn't like asking for things from others.
Gou smiled at you. "Oh, Why is that, (Name)-Chan? Do you want to..." She paused for A moment before turning into a sparkling mess. "...SEE HIS MUSCLES?!" She squealed. You sighed heavily and sweat-dropped at Gou. "Oh Gou, I'm sure you're happy being the Swim Team manager..." After Gou's little outburst, you both headed on Video Chat to speak to Rin.  It rung for awhile, causing you and Gou to get bored. You were thinking of just turning it off, but it had the "connecting..." sign finally appear. You sat up and there was Rin. "Hey, (Name)." Your heart thumped in your chest. Every time you had an opportunity to see rin, you were overjoyed. "H-Hi Rin! How are you?!" Your voice was raspy from excitement, you were shaking. "I'm good, how are you (Name?) and Gou, you too!" Gou waved and smiled. "Hello, Onii-Chan!" She chimed. You grinned. "We are both doing great! We are super excited to see you!" Rin smiled, showing his sharp shark teeth. "I'm excited to see you too, I have everything ready." You were about to jump around from happiness. You could barely breathe seeing Rin. He made you so happy, and everyone around you knew it. "Jeez you look like you're gonna have a heart attack." Rin chuckled, taking a sip of his water bottle. "I'll be back home soon, you don't need to get all excited around me anymore. Don't worry." He reassured, his eyes were lit up with happiness. Still, you couldn't help it. Your body was filled with joy all the way from your toes to your fingertips. Got stepped in and spoke up. "Onii-Chan, how is Australia?" Rin crossed his arms nodding. "It's pretty nice, been doing a lot of swimming mostly." You laughed, "of course, swimming." Rin told you about current events going on and caught you two up on his life until he had to go. Rin sat up and smiled at the both of you. "Love you guys," he started. "See you soon." He hung up on the call and Gou and you and you both squealed and hugged eachother. "I'm so excited to see Rin!" You cried. "I can't wait to see Onii-Chan!" Gou squealed. The rest of the night you two couldn't keep smiles off your faces, neither of you were complaining about that.
