I was so excited. It was my first day here at the Desert University of Art. I had finally saved up enough money to apply here and my application was approved. I headed to my class. I wanted to do puppetry since I was so good making puppets all the time.

I made my way to puppetry class and entered the room. There were so many people and almost all the seats were taken, but one. There was a guy who wore a hood with cat ears? But he was sitting alone. So I walked up to him. "Hi, is this seat taken?" I asked politely with a closed eye smile. He turned to look at me.

"No, it's not." he said as he patted the chair beside him. I smiled again and sat my backpack down and sat beside him.

"So what's your name?" I asked him.

"Kankuro Nara. What's your name?" he asked me.

"Oh, my name is Kayden Uzumaki." I said. He smiled at me. I smiled back at him. I was about to say something else, but I was interrupted by our professor. My eyes went wide like CD disks. Our professor was none other than Philip Masters.

I looked up to him, he was my idol. He was the reason why I started making puppets in the first place. Everyone started to quiet down when he walked in. "Alright class, my name is Philip Masters and I will be your puppet professor. Now let's get started." he said with a smile.

He then started talking about the history of where puppets came from and why they were built. It may seem like a boring lecture to some, but to me, it was an interesting topic. I know I heard him say these things before when I started making puppets, but it's always good to refresh your memory on when and where and why puppets were here in the first place.

After the lecture, professor Philip decided to pair everyone up to create a puppet. But it can't be your average puppet, you have to create a puppet from your favorite theme. It can be any kind of theme. From horror to action. "Alright everyone find your partners, decide on a theme your puppet should be, and get to work on creating your puppets." he said.

Everyone started getting into partners while Kankuro and Kayden already started talking about some themes that could work for them. "How about horror?" Kayden suggested. She's always been a horror movie kind of girl. All the things that would scare most girls didn't scare her. She was used to it. Sometimes her dad, Minato Uzumaki wouldn't understand why she likes watching that kind of stuff, but he loves her anyway.

Kankuro thought about it for a moment, and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I've always found puppets to be cooler when they're in horror movies." he said.

"I know right, way more exciting." Kayden said with a smile. Kankuro smiled back at her.

"So what should the design look like?" Kankuro asked her.

Kayden thought for a moment before having an idea pop into her head. She grabbed her sketch book and sketch ink pen and started sketching out a design for their puppet. As she was sketching it out, Philip walked up to both of them and saw her sketch. "Very good Kayden, it's always good to sketch out your design before building your puppet." he said.

"Thank you sir." she said.

Philip then left to go see the other students and see how they were doing. "And done with the design." Kayden said. She put her sketch book in front of Kankuro and he started examining her design.

"This will work perfectly, let's get started." Kankuro said with a gleam in his eye.
