Josh's POV
I was standing near the door with Jaden as they prepared to leave without me as I decided to spend yet another night with Chase.
I wasn't sure if it was the new relationship buzz, or if I had suddenly become clingy, but the thought of being away from my boyfriend and sleeping alone in my bed was unbearable.
"Here," Jaden said, shoving some clothes into my arms, "I brought these cause I knew you'd want to stay over again."
"Thanks. I was getting tired of borrowing from people." I replied.
"You know, you guys could move in together. We wouldn't mind having Chase around and it would keep us from having to travel back and forth all the time." Jaden suggested.
I thought about this, realizing it did make more since for Chase and I to live together, but I wasn't sure if we were ready for that step. I decided to ask him about it later.
After bidding goodbye to the boys, I went back upstairs to find Chase setting up his camera.
"Are you getting ready to film?" I asked from the doorway.
Chase turned towards me, "Yeah, you can be in it if you want. It's just a Q and A."
"Sure."
I sat next to Chase, very obviously staring at him as he did his intro and went through his phone to find the list of questions from twitter.
"Josh?" Chase called, waving his hand in front of my face.
I didn't respond, instead just taking his hand and intertwining our fingers, causing him to giggle.
"Ok, since you decided to join me, I turned it into a couples Q and A. So the first question is 'who admitted their crush first?'"
"I did." I said proudly.
Chase nodded, smiling at me, "You read the next one," he said handing me his phone.
"'Who simps the most for the other?'"
"Definitely him." Chase answered, pointing at me.
"'Do y'all ever plan to move in together?'"
This question surprised me since it was only half an hour ago Jaden and I had talked about that.
"Well Josh? You wanna live with me?" Chase asked.
"Yes," I said simply, "What about you?" eager to know how he felt.
"Of course. One day." He replied.
I let out a sigh of relief, "Good to know."
This continued on for another 15 minutes until Chase read out a question that confused him.
"'Have you said the l-word yet? I know it's kinda early.'"
He looked over at me, eyebrows furrowed, "What?" I asked.
"What's the l-word?"
"I'm pretty sure they mean love. Like have we said 'I love you' yet."
"Oh. Well, um, no, we haven't. But, I'm sure we will soon." Chase said.
"We will?" I asked.
I could sense his nervousness about the topic, so I squeezed his hand and gave him a soft smile, gently taking the phone from him to find another question.
Eventually, Chase relaxed again and we finished up the video. I wanted to ask him about what he said earlier, but didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable.
Then, I thought of something else, "Hey Chase," I waited until I had his attention, "Let's go on a date."
"A date?"
"Yeah, we haven't been on an official one since we got together."
Chase's face changed from one of surprise to one of realization, "You're right, where do you wanna go?"
"It's a surprise." I said, mainly cause I had no idea where to take him.
He rolled his eyes, but still took my outstretched hand and followed me outside to the driveway.
Then it hit me, "We're still in our pajamas."
We both looked down, laughing when we saw that we were, indeed, still in our night clothes, me in boxers and Chase wearing his favorite cookie monster pj bottoms.
We went back inside to change and I bit back a curse when Chase revealed himself, dressed in a silk button up with jeans that hugged him perfectly.
Finally, we left and I racked my brain for ideas of where to go. Glancing over at Chase again, I knew his outfit wasn't fit for McDonald's, so I pushed that thought away.
After some time, Chase grew impatient and asked, "Josh, where are we going?"
"To be honest, I don't-" I stopped mid-sentence, as I noticed a small, Italian restaurant I visited once.
I circled back around and pulled into the parking lot, grateful to see that few people were here in the middle of the day.
We walked inside, the place was dark thanks to the tinted windows and dim lighting, each table was decorated with candles.
It was far more romantic then I remembered, but I appreciated the setting since it fit the mood of our date.
After being seated and placing our orders, we shared light conversation while waiting for our food.
As I listened to Chase, I felt a foreign feeling in my heart, something I'd never felt during my relationship with Nessa.
I wasn't sure, but I think this is what love feels like, and I could only hope that Chase is feeling the same thing as me.
"Chase, I-" but before I could admit my feelings, the waiter came with our food, setting in front us.
Chase thanked the waiter then turned to me, "What were you gonna say, Josh?"
Figuring this was a sign, I decided to wait to tell Chase how I felt, "I'm glad we did this."
"Me too." he smiled at me before starting to eat.
Once we were finished, I paid and we headed home. Somewhere along the way, Chase fell asleep holding my hand with his head resting against the car window.
I looked over at him from time to time, finally accepting that I was undeniably in love with the boy next to me.
A/N: Hey guys, hope you enjoyed! Sorry I was gone for so long. I don't have any excuses for how inactive I was, but I hope to get a few more chapters out before I got back to school, I really won't have much time then. Thanks for patiently waiting for an update and all the support you guys have been showing this book. Love y'all<3
