The 1st date

At your apartment, then on a date.

You've just finished putting on your shoes when you hear a knock at the door. As you walk through the hall and pass a mirror on the way, you check the final look of your outfit. You've dressed casual, yet classy, with a pretty floral dress and a matching cardigan. Your shoes are sandals, with a small heel. Another knock sounds at the door, and you rush to open it.

Ashton stands outside, wearing black skinny jeans, high black boots and a leather jacket with a Nirvana shirt. "Y/n...wow. You look gorgeous. No, you look...beautiful," says Ashton, his eyes wide. You feel your cheeks flush.

"Thankyou, Ashton. You look very smart yourself," you reply. He grins, his eyes twinkling and dimples appearing on his cheeks. "Wait a sec," you say, turning to shut and lock the door.

When you're done, he asks, "Shall we?" He offers his arm to you. You smile and hook your arm around his. "We shall." He walks you to his car and opens the door for you. "Thanks." He closes the door and sits down next to you in the driver's seat. He starts the ignition and reverses out of your driveway. "So, where are we headed?" You ask him.
"Shh, don't ask that question. It's meant to be a surprise," he replies.
"Oooh, mysterious. Sounds exciting!"
"I'm really hoping you'll like it. I'm looking forward to it myself. But this isn't about me, it's about you."

You open your mouth to reply, but nothing comes out. You're speechless at how much of a gentleman he is, at how sweet and kind he is.

He pulls up at the destination and switches the car off. "Here we are," he says. You step out of the car and look around you.

You're at a carnival.

"Oh, Ashton, this is amazing! Thankyou so much!" You exclaim. He walks round till he's beside you and smiles. "I'm glad you're happy. Wanna go check it out?"

You nod, and he takes your hand in his.

"Let's go then."
