Alex Can't sleep

(No ones Pov)

Alex laid wide awake in bed next to Perrie who was sound asleep. If there was ever a time that he ever envied her it was now. Alex had tossed and turned for hours now and he was starting to lose hope that he'd fall asleep tonight, beginning to prep how he'd get through the day running on no sleep (which seemed impossible as it was a full day of training). He sat up in bed and ran his fingers through his slightly tangled curly hair, wishing and praying for even an hour of sleep. He'd had sleepless nights before but this was different, this was unintentional and all he wanted at that moment was to sleep. Alex jumped when he felt fingers brush along his spine but relaxed when he realized it was Perrie. "What's wrong?" She mumbled, sleep coating her voice but it was the voice Alex adored. His eyes started to water and before Alex could stop it, a couple slid down his cheeks. As if this night couldn't get any worse, he'd now woken up his girlfriend who Alex knew was exhausted from her busy schedule. "Hey.. shh, why are you crying?" She sat up and pulled him close to her, wiping the tears from his cheeks before kissing both of them. "I just can't sleep. I'm sorry if I woke you up." She frowned and shook her head, kissing his forehead and giving Alex a sweet smile. "You didn't wake me up bubs, don't worry about that. Why can't you sleep, hmm?" Alex shrugged his shoulders unsure of what was causing him to not be able to sleep. Perrie simply nodded her head and laid back down, pulling him down next to her and rubbing circles on his stomach and scratching her fingers up and down his abs aiming to first calm him down. Her fingers were gently touching his skin and it made Alex feel so content that he was actually able to close his eyes for the first time that night. "Go to sleep babe, I'll be here to hold you the whole time." Alex felt tiredness take over his body and he was finally feeling relaxed enough to fall asleep. Perrie watched as his eyelashes fluttered against his cheeks delicately before kissing Alex's cheek and closing her eyes, ready to join him back in dreamland. Alex woke up the next morning certainly not feeling the best but eternally grateful to Perrie for helping him at least get a few hours of sleep ready for a full day of training which will hopefully drain him enough to get a full nights sleep that night.
