It had been almost six months after Elijah had found me, nearly dead.
A lot has happened. I was engaged to Elijah, not by choice, his mother forced him to marry me. He loved me and so did his brother. I just didn't know which one I loved.
I watched as my hand maid, Clara, brushed out my ringlets. She was my best friend. “Do you love him?” she asked. “Or the other brother?”
I looked at her. “No. I don't love either of them. It's a hobby.” I looked at her when she finished brushing my curls.
She walked over to the dressed that was laid out on the bed. “Stand up” she said, looking at me.
I obeyed. She slide the dress over my head and fixed it. She brought over a black corset. I groaned. She gave me a look.
I started whining. She laughed, telling me to grow up and act like a lady. I looked at her, but obeyed. She yanked on the corset until I couldn't breath. “Clara” I half said, trying to breath.
She giggled. “I know it hurts but it makes your breasts look better.”she said, my jaw dropped.
She started laughing until she was choking. Someone knocked on my door. “Come in” I called.
Elijah walked in,shutting the door behind him, looking at me. “You look amazing, Stormy.” he said, he still didn't know my real name.
Clara giggled as Elijah kissed my cheek. Elijah looked at her. “Hello, Clara.” he said, walking over to her and kissed her hand. She turned red.
I pulled Elijah away from her, and made him turn around and looked at me. “Hello, Elijah” I said, kissing his cheek.
He smiled. “Hello, Stormy, when are you going to tell me your real name?”
“Soon, we need to get going.” I said.
