The ball was boring. Everyone stared at the girl who was attached to Elijah. "Just ignore them, Stormy." He whispered in my ear. I nodded lightly and smiled forcefully. I patted his arm and let go.
"I'm going to go sit down." I said, he nodded, believing me. I saw Xian walking over to the table I was sitting at.
"Hello, Stormy." He grinned showing pearly whites.
I rolled my eyes. "You might be king, but unlike all of the maids and everyone. I will put you in your place, Xian. Mark my words. I'm not going to cower and whimper when you walk by." I said, lightly and harshly. He stood there.
"As you wish." He said.
After he left I told Elijah I was going too bed. He kissed my cheek . "Goodnight. Stormy."
I walked back to my room and went to my closet.
I pulled out a knife. I wasn't dying today or any other day. I crawled out of the window and took off down the tree into the woods...
