Class is in Session (Part 2)

I was quickly walking through the hallways in hopes of avoiding my cousin and getting to class without having to stop by the nurse ,like always, but my injuries are making that a pipe dream. I can't walk with Jules since she has a different second period almost on the whole other side of the building. The hallway was almost empty so I thought and prayed that Daxon was in class or at least skipped school all together.

"YO MARIANNA STENCH, WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING!?" a familiar and extremely unwelcome voice boomed through the hallway. I knew better than to keep walking since I definitely can't out run them. Their laughter sinked to the bottom of my stomach and I froze up to their footsteps. " I- I'm trying to get to second period Mika, the bell rung a-a while ago.." Mika Edison is the one person from the Hellion Squad , the nickname for Daxon and his friends, I actually am afraid of. He's violent and degrading to me but still remains popular because of his good looks and grades.. not to mention he's the rich one of Daxon's group. He's the reason most of the student body avoids me like the plague, some girls who like Mika went as far as locking me in a supply room for an entire night, because I'm "too buddy-buddy" with him. I don't want to remember what happened when I got home the next day...I feel Mika's hand yank the back of my hoodie, making me lose balance and slam in the lockers beside me. My whole body screamed in protest, the wind left my lungs even though I didn't fall that hard but I was already battered and swollen all over cause of my brother so the pain was almost unbearable. Mika squatted down and hovered over me "Hey, why are you being so dramatic? I didn't do nothing yet" he smirked, lifting my chin like he was trying to get a good look at me. I was lightheaded.. I felt like I was going to pass out again, and the hallway was a ghost town by now. The Hellion Squad all snickered thinking all of this was hilarious, "Please j-just let me get to c-class, you guys are l-late too, M-M-Mrs. Cunningham is going to write us up.." I stuttered trying not to meet any of their eyes.
"Don't tell us what to do you little bitch!" A stinging pain enveloped my left cheek, Mika slapped me and stood up, looking down at me like I was some insect.. I was used to that but it was still terrifying.."But you're right this time, I don't want to hear that old hag yell again so consider yourself lucky, but I better not see you in class" he glared at me before tapping Daxons' shoulder "Let's go guys, It's starting to reek out here." And like that they vanished down the hall. I pull myself up using the lockers to lean against, I grab my backpack from the ground and limp to the only place I could think of that's safe until the end of school..the library..

Once I get to the library I sneak to the back of the large room and pull out my tiny sketchbook and a pencil. Like earlier I let my mind race and my hands run wild across the pages, scribbling anything until it made sense to stop and move to the next. I didn't stop until the bell rang and third period was about to start. I winced as I pulled out my phone and texted Jules letting her know what happened and that I was hiding out in the library.

Class must've started since she didn't respond but that's fine cause it was getting hard to focus cause I was dizzy as hell. Lunch for freshman was during 7th period so had some time before I had to leave the library. I set a few alarms and put my head down on the table I sitting at.
