"I texted him the same night and he replied like normal. But he's just been giving me short answers lately. It's kinda weird," Zayden explained as Josh took a sip from his drink. The people around them were too busy in their conversations to listen in on the boys'.

Zayden stopped talking to say thank you to the waitress when she delivered their food. Josh took this chance to speak, "How long ago was this?"

"Saturday."

"Dude, it's Tuesday! Have you spoken to him since then?" Josh dug into his food.

"... Not in person," Zayden admitted shamefully.

"You should see him today," Josh watched as Zayden typed something out onto his phone and sighing a few seconds after.

"He's not even reading my messages anymore. I think he's royally pissed at me."

"And rightfully so," Josh commented with a mouth full of food.

Zayden lightly kicked him in the leg and he slumped back in his seat.

Later that day, Zayden got in his car and drove to Landon's house. He texted beforehand but came up dry, which worried him a bit more. He really hoped Landon wasn't mad at him and blocked him or something.

When he arrived at the apartment complex, Zayden shut the car off and began making his way up the stairs and to Landon's apartment door. He knocked lightly but nothing happened. No shuffling inside, no dog barking, no muffled voices. Nothing.

Like no one lived there anymore.

Zayden knocked again but when nothing happened, he tried the door handle. The door was unlocked.

The fuck...

Zayden pushed it open and stepped inside. Everything was a huge mess, like a tornado passed through. The pictures on the walls and on tables were shattered and thrown around the place. The TV had a crack across the screen and the remote was on the kitchen floor. The couch pillows were scattered around the room, and the dog bed was missing.

Zayden's breath hitched in his throat as he rushed over to Landon's room, throwing the door open. His room looked just like the living room and kitchen. The sheets were thrown across the room, the items on his desk were now across the room. The certificates on his wall were cracked and on the floor.

Holy shit...

Zayden frantically searched the place. No Landon, no Arthur. Landon's phone was cracked and on the ground beside his bed. The device still worked and Zayden could see all his missed messages and a bunch of other people's missed messages. Landon only stopped responding to him yesterday, so nobody must be too worried about the male.

"FUCK!" Zayden threw the phone across the room, watching it shatter on the wall.

The male was quick to run back to his car and drive to the business building. Hanna was the first to notice him. She waved happily but Zayden ignored her. He pushed past everyone in his way until he found his father.

Jordan spun around and his smile faded when he saw how furious his son was. Zayden gripped the male's shirt collar and pulled him slightly up, Jordan didn't look phased by his son's behavior and Zayden didn't expect him to.

"Where the FUCK is he?!" At this point, everyone in the facility was staring at the two.

"Who?" Jordan asked casually.

Zayden clenched his teeth as his fist swung, hitting his father square in the face. A few people got ready to defend him but he stopped them, knowing how to handle his son.
