Coco sat staring at her bag. Tweak had rolled off her, and Dashi was fast asleep. It wouldn't be difficult to run. It would be easy, so incredibly easy. However, as she heard Tweak roll over again, she hesitated. It would be easy to leave, yes, but how would she explain it? She knew they wouldn't stop looking for her. She never liked being tied down in one place. However, she didn't like letting down her family. She sighed as she slipped out of the bed. She'd figure it out.

As night turned to early morning, Barnacles continued his usual morning routine at 6 am. Kwazii and Shellington eventually joined him in HQ as the clock hit 11 am. Shellington looked around before he remembered, "The girls still asleep?"
Barnacles nodded, "I assume so. They haven't come up yet."
"Should we check on them?" Shellington questioned as Kwazii leaned against a chair.
"Aye, I say so," Kwazii shrugged, looking at Barnacles.
Barnacles nodded, "Alright, let's go."
Tweak grumbled against the light as it flicked on. She flung her arm over her eyes and turned in her sleep. Dashi muttered softly as she burrowed further into the mattress. Shellington chuckled softly, "Dashi?"
Dashi blinked as she awoke, "hmm? What? What time is it?"
"11 am, it's morning." Shellington smiled softly.
"Mm, nice," Dashi yawned as she rubbed her eyes, "what?"
"It's morning?" Kwazii questioned, stifling laughter.
"Oh," Dashi sat up, stretching; she pat the bed beside her sleepily before her eyes shot open. "Wait, where did Coco go?"
Shellington furrowed her brows, "I thought she slept in here with you?"
"She did." Dashi frowned, elbowing Tweak to wake her, "Wake up, Tweak. Cocos gone."
"Knew she would be. She'll call eventually." Tweak yawned and rolled over.
"Tweak, I'm serious." Worry was bleeding into her Dashi's tone.
"Alright, I'm up." Tweak blinked, looking to where Coco's bag was, "Are you sure she didn't just leave a note?"
"She said she would stay the two months." Dashi sighed, worrying her lip between her teeth. "Do you think she was taken?"
~~~~~
Coco turned on the small cot. A voice cut through the stark whiteness of the room, "Are you ok?"
"They're gonna kill me, you know, left with no note." Coco laughed into the air.
"I'm sure they'll be fine," the voice replied.
"Maybe." Coco shrugged, sitting up. "So, what now?"
"Now... I check your vitals." The voice replied closer.
"What do they call you? Peso?" Coco asked as she held her arm out.
"Yep! And I must say I think Dashi and Tweak would be more disappointed if you actually left like you were trying to." Peso commented as he wrapped the blood pressure cuff around her arm.
"Yeah, well... life goes on." Coco sighed, "You should have let me leave."
"You're my patient, no," Peso spoke sternly.
Coco sighed as she leaned back against the cot, "think you should maybe tell them you kidnapped me?"
"Giving your medical treatment is not kidnapping." He sighed, writing something on the clipboard before muttering under his breath, "Eres uno de mis pacientes más tercos."
