It was spring, and the crew was getting ready to go on their vacations. Not including Tweak, who chose to stay behind and fix up the octopod. Much to Coco's jealousy. Grumbling, Coco adjusted her camo backpack on her shoulder and leaned further against the wall. "You know, I really could just call and say something came up and that I have to help Tweak."

Dashi sighed through her nose. "No, no, you can't. You told them you were going. You are going."

Coco groaned. "But that was before I found out Mom, Nana, and Dado have to work! And you aren't even coming..."

Dashi crossed her arms. "I told you I am going to pick up Koshi, and we have plans."

Coco grumbled yet again, and Peso cut in, "Hermana, how come you don't wanna see your family?"

Coco sighed, "I do, don't get me wrong. I love my family. I just," She took a deep breath in, "I just don't get along with certain members at certain times. And no one knows when a certain member will show up."

Tweak smirked, "And then all hell breaks loose. Have you ever seen six people with anger issues under one roof? It's so funny to watch."

Coco leaned her head back, "And without my mom, nana, dado, sister, brothers, Dashi, or Tweak gone. I have no buffer. Me and granny are too similar."

Kwazii leaned next to Tweak. "Yow, how bad could it get?"

Dashi made a cutoff motion with her hand, eyes wide, "Bad. It gets worse than bad. Don't ask."

Coco smirked and huffed out a laugh as Barnacles glanced at her sympathetically. "I would take you with Peso and me if I could..."

Coco smiled and patted his back. "Thanks, hon. I don't think Dashi would let you, though. I'll be fine. I have a plan."

Shellington smiled and joked, "That sounds dangerous."

Dashi sighed as she spoke in a monotone voice. "It is."

Coco hummed, "All I have to do is push my emotions deep down. And then I won't feel them."

Inkling glanced up. "I feel like that's counterproductive, Coco. We have been through this."

Coco shrugged with a smile. "Debatable."

Dashi smiled softly. "I trust you, Coco. You can do this. I believe in you."

Coco sighed and nodded. "Uh-huh, yeah, sure. Well, let's get this show on the road."

Tweak snickered and spun around, "Eh, you don't know, might end well. Anyways, everyone, please take one of the buttons. Anywhere you are, the octoalert will sound. Good luck explaining that one to granny if it goes off CC."

Shellington groaned, "Don't jinx us, Tweak."

She laughed, and everyone took a pin. Inkling patted Barnacles' shoulder. "Say hi to your sister for me, son."

He nodded and gave him a brief hug. "I will stay safe."

Kwazii gave Tweak a quick peck on the lips before their lips met again and again, leading to Coco clearing her throat, "Ok, Kwazii, we have discussed this. If you stay, Tweak won't work."

Kwazii pulled away, and Tweak giggled. Shellington rolled his eyes and gave Dashi a quick peck, "Say hi to Koshi for me."

"I will." Dashi smiled, and the crew finally went their separate ways. Coco had taken the gup O to the river and had managed to convince her mom to drive her to Granny's house before having her Nana pick her up to work.

Jess kissed Coco's temple, "Have fun."

Coco smiled, "Thanks, Mom."

As Jess and Coco's Nana drove off, Coco stepped out of the car into the chilled Kentucky air. She slowly walked to the front door, careful on the slick driveway. Coco smiled as she walked in.
