It was a normal night in the land of Ooo. Finn and Jake had returned from a mission with Princess Bubblegum. They stumbled through weak door of the tree fort and made their way to their beds. "Man. That mission totally blowed. PB's mission are radical but that was just lame." Finn sighed as he slumped backwards onto his bed. "I know dude, tell me about it." Jake replied with the usual roughness in his voice"

"Do you think PB noticed how cool I was though?" Finn blushed. "Not that I.. uh.. care or anything but.." He broke off and looked away from Jake.
He gazed out of the broken wondow towards the Candy Kingdom. He really liked Princess Bubblegum but knew she'd never like him back. He missed the Flame Princess too of course but it was obviously over no matter what he wanted. He'd do anything to get her back but he made an unforgivable mistake and she could never trust him again.
"I'm gonna get ready for bed." Finn sighed. "Okay man. I'm gonna make a sandwich, wait no. Three sandwiches. Want anything?" Jake asked. "No, I think I'll just go to bed." Jake nodded and stretched down to the kitchen.

An hour passed and Finn was still lying awake in his bed. He stared at the the picture of him and the flame princess longingly.
Jake came upstairs looking satisfied and full. "You alright man?" He said lazely. "Yeah, just thinking."
Jake was obviously worried but knew better than too bother Finn when he was like this.

Just as they were ready for bed and Jake had shrunk down to fit into his drawer they heard foot steps down stairs in their treasure room. "Do you hear that?" Jake questioned. Finn stared at the floor in confusion. "BMO. Is that you?" He yelled in a whispered tone. "No Finn. I am right here." BMO said from the corner of the room. There was a sudden clash from downstairs. Finn jumped to his feet "Lets go and investigate." He said as he cleared his throat.
The two of them crept downstairs. Sword at the ready, Finn dashed forwards and stopped when he saw the cause of the clash. It was a person. He stared. "Who are you?!" He demanded but the hooded figure just stared back. It was too dark, he couldn't make out their face.
The person took something from their pocket and hit a button. There was a sudden flash and smoke filled the air. They couldn't see a thing. By the time smoke cleared, the hooded figure was gone.
"Come on!" Finn yelled. "They won't get away with this!" Jake stared with tired eyes. "Come on man. It was only abit of treasure. We've got loads."
"It's not about that! It's the principles!" Finn ran from the room accompanied by Jake who wasn't gonna let Finn run off by himself.

They burst through the front door and Finn looked around frantically. "THERE!" He yelled and pointed towards the forest of trees. They broke into a sprint. With a sword raised above his head, Finn was so determined to get back what had been stolen.
The thief ran as fast as they could. Before even knowing what was happening Finn jumped and sliced his sword down their back. The thief stumbled and let out a shriek of pain but kept running. Their hood fell. It was a girl. No older than Finn. She ran but tripped over a rock and fell. She could no longer see and was slipping out of consciousness.
