[01] The 24th date

tonight's a very cold evening, to be honest it's quite unbearable.

I wore a shirt, a turtle neck, and a long coat to protect me from having the chills. I was kind of lost around this unfamiliar place that I was lead to for tonight's date, my 24th date actually.

unbelievable, right?

those dates didn't go well, all of it, it's either they won't show up or they're not really my vibe, and I don't even know why I'm still pushing through every one of it.

I just hope it's different tonight, but my hopes aren't that high anymore, it's just disappointing me everytime.

'hey? I'm kind of lost, I'm right infront of this convenience store right now, can you come here instead?' I texted the person who I'm going to meet right now, the cold is getting in to my clothes.

and to my luck I stopped right infront of a convenience store.

I went in to get a few hot packs for me and for whoever I'm with.

bzzt.

my phone buzzed when I was about to get a hot coffee.

'are you wearing a coat? short hair?'

I looked around but there were a few people inside so I can't seem to guess who it is.

Not until I met a pair of eyes looking right at me.

is it her?

I looked away and got my coffee, swerved a little bit from the side to pay all of what I bought and texted her back.

'were you the one looking at me?'

I hid my phone inside my pocket mixing my coffee.

"yes, it's me." I heard a voice behind me and I must admit I was kind of startled.

"Oh, hey, what's up? did you just get here or?" I said and sipped my coffee to gain heat from it since I was already shivering from the cold.

"Nope, I was already here not long ago before you texted me that you're also here." She said and beamed a smile, I smiled shyly and took another sip from my coffee and looked away, I'm never really a fan of eye contact.

"Here, I got you some hot packs, in case you might turn into an ice in awhile." I said and gave her 2 extra hot packs which she gladly took and thank me.

I looked at her again and to my surprise she was also looking at me with a smile still plastered on her face.

she looks like a bunny, it made me smile.

"No offense but you look like a bunny." I said and she pouted but I laughed seeing how cute her reactions were, this might not be bad actually.

"yah, you're mean, but I'll take that one as a compliment since bunnies are cute. Come, let's take a walk to the nearest ramen shop." She said and stretched out her hand but I did not take it and looked at her instead.

"I still don't know you, this might be part of a kidnap plan." I said and she laughed and slap me gently by the arm, I couldn't help but laugh as well.
