Harry’s POV
„I’m sorely disappointed with you. You have to know that your behaviour brings some unpleasant consequences with it and you have to understand that violence is no solution. Violence is never a solution and you should know that! On this school violence isn’t tolerated.” The headmaster complains furious. “I can reassure you. You don’t have to leave school. Everyone deserves a second chance so I’m at one with the other teachers that you don’t have to leave school. We give you the chance to make up for the big mistreatment you’ve done. Nevertheless we are forced to advertise your parents of this matter. Your parents have to sign this letter which informs them about the situation. If you can’t show this sign within the following three days, we’ll contact your parents by a phone call and you have to do twice as much work as the others. If we don’t get a hold of your parents on the phone you’ll have to leave school.” He makes a little break and takes a deep breathe. “Grace, this doesn’t apply to you. You haven’t done something wrong, so you don’t have to worry. Harry, Marcus and Claire you have to be prepared for a few hours of work with the groundskeeper. But first of all I want to hear what has happened. Claire, please start.” Mr. Jones, the headmaster of our school says a cross expression on his face.
My mum will be enthusiastic if she hears that I’m on the brink of leaving school because I slapped Marcus. At least she wouldn’t be this vicious when I tell her my reasons. Personally, I still think that it was right to punch this Bastard. I think I should’ve punched him harder as I did. He deserves the pain Grace has to feel because of him and so Claire does. They have to understand that they can’t do whatever they want regardless of the consequences.
I look at my right. Grace is sitting on the chair, her legs crossed, her eyes still filled with tears. She trembles and runs her fingers through her hair thousands of times. She doesn’t seem to be relieved that she doesn’t has to leave school. She seems to be nervous and still very upset.
Claire starts:
“Marcus and I stood on the school yard talking about this and that when we’ve seen Grace coming from the bus stop. We decided to talk to her a bit because she’s a new student at our school. We just wanted to be kind. Well, we asked her whether she wants to hang out with us, but she was the one who denied. She just said that she needs to go to the classroom to see Harry because she has to copy the English homework. When she went to the classroom, Marcus and I talked again. After that, we also went to the classroom. It was Grace herself who did the mistake here. She was the one who wanted to copy the homework and as far as I know copying homework isn’t allowed, Mr. Jones.” Claire says blinking her eyes. She crosses her legs and runs her fingers through her hair looking at the headmaster with her I-Know-You-Want-Me-Face.
Are you for real?
Not that Claire tells a totally invented story she also tries to flirt with the headmaster wanting to twist him around her little finger.
How pathetic can you get?
“Ok. What do you think about that, Marcus?” Mr. Jones asks. He seems to be underwhelmed of Claire.
Mercifully.
“I totally agree with her. Grace said that she wants to copy the math homework. Then she went away, nothing else.”
“I thought she wanted to copy the English homework?” The headmaster asks nosy.
“Maths, it was Maths.” Claire says coincident with Marcus saying “English, for sure!”
Well next time you should coordinate your lies with each other!
A mischievous smile appears on my face.
