Kate skidded down the halls nervously trying to not bump into any students as she made her way to her dorm in such a hurry that many would assume that she had downed half a gallon of speed potions.

Her face was red as she fell down upon the bed.

She picked up her vision sphere and called out:

"Mother."

A firm lady appeared from the other side of the glass, her hair holding a dark purple hue and her eyes a deep jet black:

A firm lady appeared from the other side of the glass, her hair holding a dark purple hue and her eyes a deep jet black:

"Kate... How was school?"

She always goes straight to the point... I just wanted to talk to her and she does this, it's not even a question it is 'you had better done well or else I'm bringing my broom when I visit.'

Kate sighed:

"Well as you know I arrived late so I have things to catch up on..."

"Then don't call me and do it. Don't make me regret agreeing with you and your dads request to send you to school."

"Yes, mother..." Kate agreed turning off her sphere and returning to her homework, it took two hours but finally, she finished most of it.

"I'll finish the rest tomorrow, sir did say that I could hand them in at the end of the week!" Kate exclaimed putting her school things away and prepared herself for the shower that's when a blinding light appeared from outside the window, Kate gasped and rushed towards the window two birds of fire descended from the skies and landed on the ground.

"Wow..." Kate gasped glueing her face to the window. "I wonder who they might be!"

However, as they reached the school gate the firey forms dissipated Kate lost interest and decided to continue with her plans of taking a shower.

Kate made her way to class determined to not be late again. That's when she heard a familiar voice sound from behind her:

"We are still on tonight right?"

Kate turned and smiled at him:

"Yes Han, I'll see you later."

"Great! Oh and by the way you should know that you are going the wrong way Kate..." Hannibal said with a chuckle pointing to another direction.

"Whoops! Thanks!" Kate exclaimed and rushed towards the direction he pointed in.

"I've really got to thank Hannibal later... Oh my goodness!" Kate sighed in relief as she placed her homework on the table.

"Yo! Kate!" Joanna called out as she sat beside the brunette.

"Oh! Hi Joanna!" Kate greeted back happily, "how are you?"

"I'm doing great! You?"

"I'm good!" Kate smiled.

"This class is so boring... Ugh..." Joanna whined, "The teachers a jerk too..."

"I guess it can't be helped...? But Sir Balthazar is quite interesting and his class is next so just hang in there my friend..."

"Uuuuggghhh..." Joanna groaned making her friend laugh.

That was the moment the teacher walked in:

"Okay class, page three!"

That's when a knock came from the door and the teacher left for a while before coming back.

This confused the students but when the teacher returned it wasn't even addressed so it remained that way a confusion for the rest of the class.

Joanna and Kate walked together to the classroom where Balthazar's class would be held and saw two people standing there a man and a woman.

"Thank you so much for caring for my little brother I know he can be a pain..." The girl spoke her voice carrying a celestial kindness to it. Long golden hair flowed from her back and reached her hip as yellow almost golden eyes gazed towards their teacher a worried frown upon her face.

"Don't worry yourself, Isabelle. I am simply doing my job."

"Has he been doing his schoolwork?"

"No."

A dangerous flicker flashed in her eyes but it quickly dissipated and she once again inquired of the teacher:

"May I have a few words with him before class? I might be able to get him to behave..."

"Oh sure... Knock yourself out just make sure he's here before the lecture."

Isabelle curtsied to the man in respect and thankfulness leaving only the students, the teacher, and a redheaded lad with yellow eyes.

"Thank you for entertaining my wife's questions... She's been worried about Jerar for quite a bit now."

Balthazar nodded to the lad before the redhead left to find his wife.

"Jerar has an elder sister?!" Kate gasped but then she did hear rumours of a Phoenix princess quite a bit ago but had assumed it was just some rumour...

"Yes... It seems like it..." Joanna added, "I didn't expect her to be so nice though considering Sir status as a Von Schatten..."

"Not all the De Rayons are pretentious however far and in between they may be... You two are early today." He answered walking up to the girls in front of him.
