Chapter One

Minho's POV

[Eight months ago..]

"Good morning class. How was your semestral break?" Our professor asked as she walk towards her table at the front.

Everyone answered. There are some who enjoyed their break and there are some who doesn't.

"It's your last school year as a student. How does it feel? After maybe, around six months? Yeah, you will be graduating now." Our professor continued to ask.

"We are a little afraid maam? Like what kind of future- are waiting for each one of us." One student answered without hesitation. Everyone agreed and got anxious.

"Don't be afraid. Everyone went through that haha." Our professor added.

"Hey, about sa plano mong maging chef. Will you pursue it? Will you really study abroad for that? Another two years?" A friend of mine named Khalid Acosta asked.

"Yeah. I really want to be a chef." I answered.

"What about your dad's plan? Will you risk your relationship with him?"

"I tried to love this course he chose for me but it's really not working. He will understand. I will make him understand this time."

"Lol Good luck. Don't knocked infront of our door if he kick you out again in your house."

"It's not like you can ignore me. Anyway, what makes you choose this course?"

"It's what I want and luckily, it's what my mother wants me to be."

"Good for you. Wait, why are we speaking in english? It's not like we're in english subject."

We both laugh. May professor kasi kami sa english last sem na sinasanay kami na mag-usap usap in english.

"What are you guys murmuring over there?" A friend of mine named Xen Andrew Villona asked. He was sitted at our back so it's hard to share conversation with him.

"We're planning how to tell your girlfriend with S that you are not serious about them." Khalid answered and we both chuckled.

Xen kicked our chairs a little, creating a bit of sound that catched our professor's attention. I saw Xen's shocked face when our professor glared at us. Me and Khalid giggled as we saw Xen's face.

FYI, our professor at the front is one of Xen's girlfriend. Her name is Alice Marquez. She's older than Xen of course, about a two year age gap I think. Our assigned subject professor can't come because of some personal reason so they let Alice take over for the mean time. Alice passed her licensure examination for teachers one year ago and while waiting for a slot, she then stayed first at the library as an assistant.

"Alright. I won't give you any assignments for today. Enjoy your day and treasure your last year in school. Goodbye class." Alice said as she ended the class.

"Gago paano niyo nalaman iyong tungkol kay Alice?" Xen asked.

Nasa bleachers kami tapos tamang nood lang ng mga naglalaro sa ground. Alice didn't used all her time kanina so we had a long break.

"Tinginan niyo sa library iba." I answered.

"We are friends for years now dude, kilalang kilala na namin galawan mo." Khalid added.

"Sadyang obvious ka lang talaga gumalaw. Di marunong magtago." I said.

"Pakiramdam ko nga alam na nung mga girlfriends mo na babaero ka-" Di natuloy ang sinasabi ni Khalid dahil sumabat na agad si Xen.

"Pero di nila ako iniiwan, because they can't resist my kagwapuhan?"

Khalid and I, rolled our eyes.

"Puro ka kahanginan. Tara na nga!" Suhestyon ni Khalid kung kaya't sabay sabay na kaming tumayo at nagsimulang maglakad.

"Ingat lang kay Alice, maissue kayo niyan. Professor and a student relationship lol" Khalid added.

"I am planning to break up with her one of these days."

"Darating rin talaga karma mo." I intertwined.

"Thank you ha? Bait mong kaibigan."

Sasagot palang sana ako sa sinabi ni Xen ng biglang may sumigaw sa di kalayuan.

"Minho!!"

It's Kassey Cipriano, the SSG President. My cousin and it's Khalid's ex girlfriend.

"Here we go again." Bulong ni Khalid at ng akma itong aalis ay hinila siya ni Xen.

"Gago." Bulong ulit ni Khalid and Xen gave him a smirk.

"Maaari niyo bang kunin iyong inorder namin? Nasa tapat lang siya nung gate sa labas. Nasa tatlong boxes ata iyon. Wala kasi iyong ibang officers, may klase." Kassey said as she walk near us.

"Saan namin ilalagay?" I asked.

"Sa registrar na lang. Hintayin ko kayo doon ha?" Kassey answered.

I nodded as an answer.

"Sige mauna na ako. Report ko lang iyong binili namin-" Natigil si Kassey sa pagsasalita ng mapansin si Khalid na nakatingin sa malayo at ni hindi siya matignan.

"Sige mauna na ako Minho, Xen-" Feels like she wanted to say goodbye to Khalid but she chose not to.

"Don't worry. We are at your service Ms. President!" Xen said as Kassey walk behind us.

"Nasaan si Khalid?" I asked Xen when I found out that he didn't followed us.

"Ewan ko. Baka sinundan si Kassey?"

"Iiwan iwan tapos di rin lang pala kakayanin. Anyway, mauna ka na at may bibilhin lang ako. Dalhin mo na tong ibang box, sunod rin ako agad."

"Sige sige." Sambit ni Xen at nauna na.

Pumunta ako sa malapit na tindahan at bumili. Pagkatapos ay bumalik rin ako agad at binuhat iyong isang box na natira. Nang tatawid ako ay may nakasabay akong isang babae.

It's Denise Kirsten Ford. Who wouldn't know her? Ever since first year, she's always walking on stage getting awards. She was the highest among all our batch, from first year to since last year. Kabesa ko na pangalan dahil palagi ko itong naririnig pag may awarding.

Nagulat na lang ako ng bigla nitong hawakan ang damit ko. I confusedly look at her.

"Sorry? I got afraid of those sasakyan. Nakaka pressure kasi iyong tunog." She shyly explained and smile a little bit.

Highway kasi itong tapat ng school namin so madaming sasakyan. Minsan nagkaka-traffic na tuwing uwian ng mga estudyante.

Di ko ito pinansin at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad. Nang makarating sa harap ng gate ay bumitaw na ito. Nagpatuloy lang ako sa paglalakad at hindi na lumingon pa kasi sa totoo lang, mabigat itong box.

Ano naman kaya laman ng mga to?

              And that's how we met. I didn't know that it'll be the first step towards each other's journey. I didn't know she will become part of my life after that interaction.
