It was 6:30 when all the second years were informed of their day off. The school had sent a mail to everyone, including Wilhelm and Simon.
Wilhelm groaned when he heard his notification sound go off.
He slowly got up, carefully leaning over Simon to grab his phone.
It was on their bedside table. Wilhelm took it into his hand and read the mail.
Dear Hillerska Students,
The teachers and other faculty members of the school have come together yesterday to discuss a class trip to Stockholm. Due to all of the stress that has been put on you because of exams, scandals or other private circumstances, they have elected to let you have the day off. Every student that is a second year here will meet infront of the school at 10:30, where the bus will stand. You may take electronical devices, pocket money and some warm clothes with you. The day will consist of you visiting the city in any way you like, without the teachers supervising you. We trust that you will remain responsible and head back to the busstop in Stockholm at 16:00. If you are sick or do not want to take part in the trip, please inform your teacher and sign an absence note.
Wilhelm breathed out in relief when he finished reading the mail. He sat back, tapping Simon's shoulder carefully.
"Simon!" he whispered into his ear. Simon let out a groan in response. "What is it.." he asked, turning to face Wilhelm with sleepy eyes.
Wilhelm smiled at him. "They're letting us visit Stockholm! We have a whole day off!" he exclaimed, Simon's eyes widened.
He rubbed them and blinked. "What? Really?" he asked, feeling like it was too good to be true. "Am I dreaming..?" Wilhelm laughed.
"No, you're awake. Or at least that's what it looks like." he said, running his fingers through Simons hair.
Simon was not a morning person. In fact, he hated mornings with a passion. He couldn't think, hear or see properly each morning, especially when he just woke up.
"Give me a minute." he said, turning away from Wilhelm. Wilhelm pulled his hand back and smirked.
He found Simon adorable. Especially in the mornings. He would either be harmlessly grumpy or half-sentient. The latter applied to that day.
He climbed over him and headed toward his closet, changing into a sweatshirt and baggy ripped jeans.
He sat down on the bed across from him and started scrolling through his phone. Fifteen minutes went by before Simon finally lifted himself up, yawning.
"Good morning." Wilhelm said, looking at him from the other side of the room.
"Don't remind me.." Simon complained, pushing their blanket off of himself. "What was that thing you were saying?" he asked after a while of getting up.
Wilhelm opened the e-mail on his phone. "The whole second year is gonna go to Stockholm today." Simon raised an eyebrow.
"Really? They're actually giving us a day off?" he asked, Wilhelm nodded. "Yea, we have to be ready to go at 10:30."
Simon made a shocked face and exhaled happily. He thought it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate their relationship.
"Wait, but I didn't bring any clothes here.." Simon said, the realization causing him to make a worried expression.
Wilhelm bit his lip and started thinking. "Can't you like.. ask your mom to bring you some?"
"Yea, but I don't wanna trouble her." Simon said, Wilhelm sighed.
