Chapter 8-lost in the woods,alone

Max POV
I was wandering around until all I could see was trees,it was thundering so I was trying to find my way back to camp,but I was unable to,I started calling David's name,in hopes he would hear me,I soon tripped over a rock and hurt my knee,to the point I couldn't get up again
David POV
After a few minutes I heard max and screamed 'hold on bud,I'm coming!' And ran towards where I heard the sound
Max POV
I heard David scream,witch gave me more confidence to stay awake,I was on the verge of passing out from bleeding,I hoped he found me soon
David POV
After a few hours I found max and screamed 'max! There you are!' And lifted the small boy in my arms and hugged him
Max POV
I was happy to be back with David,I was scared of thunder so this wasn't really a nice time for me to be outside alone
David POV
I never realized max hugged me back,the poor kid was shaking badly so I calmly said
'Hey max,listen to me alright? Your ok now,ur safe now' before picking him back up and walking to camp,I never realized max fell asleep on me,so when we got back I put him in bed and went to my room,shocked seeing Gwen there 'oh hey Gwen,you alright?'
Gwen POV
I noticed David in front of me and jumped on him 'don't scare me like that David! I thought I would never see you again!'
David POV
I hugged Gwen back and said 'I'm sorry Gwen ,I just got worried about max being gone for so long by himself'
Gwen POV
I was worried about David cause he was gone for about 5 hours,and that's not like him,even with how much he likes being outside but if he isn't with me he doesn't usually stay out for a while
David POV
I got In bed but never realized Gwen cuddled with me all night,she's such a quite sleeper,she nearly impossible to tell if she's awake or just resting her eyes
Max's nightmare
I woke up in my dream in a pitch black place
'David?! Where are you?!'
Voices:he'll leave you sooner or later
'Go away!'
Max POV
I woke up scared and looked around and saw David,I screamed 'David!'
David POV
I heard max and could tell he had a nightmare,so when he hugged me,I said 'nightmare again?' And he nodded his head,he has nightmares ever since his parents abused him,but when i took him I actually cared and comforted him after them,his parents never even tried
