Dean woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. He picked it up without looking at the Caller ID. "Hello?"

"Hey, it's me, Janine."

Dean's eyes shot open, "Hey - Janine, hi,"

"Listen, we can do the formalities later. Right now I want you to open the door." She stated.

Dean frowned, "Wha - "

"The door, Dean. I've been knocking at your door from the last five minutes." Janine sighed.

Dean was now completely awoken by the fact that Janine was here, like, actually here, "You've been knocking at...my door? As in, the door to my house?" He sat at the edge of his bed and looked around for his t-shirt.

"No, the door to Narnia."

"Hold on, I'm coming downstairs." He put on his t-shirt from yesterday, and before leaving, he checked the time, 8:14 am. What was she doing here so early in the morning?

Fianlly, as he reached downstairs, he dashed towards the door and opened it. Janine groaned, "Aghh, finally you opened the door," She grinned, "So are you gonna let me in or nah?"

"I - Yeah, but, what are you doing here so early in the morning?" Dean stepped aside so she could step in.

Janine entered, keeping her grin intact, and replied, "Well..." She took in a deep breath before continuing with her sentence, "I wanted to apologize."

Dean understood now why she was here. She wanted to apologize to him for kissing him without his consent. "Oh,"

"...For declining your calls all these months." Janine turned around to finally look at Dean, who was now frowning.

Dean gazed at her for a moment before saying, "It's okay, Janine. Really, it's okay. I'm not mad at you or anything about it. You needed to go away, you needed some "me" time, I presume, so it's okay. You don't have to apologize."

"No, but I do, Dean. I left you like that, all alone, even though I knew you were going through your own issues, and that you really needed someone. And, I suppose, you kinda wanna know the reason I left?"

Dean couldn't lie about it, he really did wanna know the reason. All these months, he had just presumed that she had left to maybe discover herself, look into herself more, have some time to herself. Maybe even live with her dad for a little while. But he hadn't known the exact reason. "Kinda..." He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly.

Janine giggled, "Kinda, huh?" She said, raising an eyebrow.

Dean scrunched up his nose, "A lot." Janine giggled even more, and at that moment, Dean noticed that now...she was being herself.

Janine scanned Dean's appearance. His messy hair, pajamas, his t-shirt, which looked too scrunched up to be taken right out of the closet, "You just woke up, didn't you?"

"Yeah..." Dean sat on the sofa, gesturing for Janine to do the same, "I kinda slept in late yesterday. I was writing and then when I finally finished with my chapter, I realized it was already four am."

Janine nodded understandingly. "Well, you wanna go out to go get some breakfast with me? It's Saturday, and you know what they say...Saturday is the day of freedom and empowerment of laziness."

Dean squinted, "Literally nobody says that."

Janine crossed her legs and placed her hands on her thighs. "Well, they should."

Dean shook his head. It was a nice saying though. "Look, I would love to have breakfast outside, but I haven't even showered yet."

"I can wait." Something was off about her...
