"This train is scheduled for maintenance." It's a woman's voice and it sounds from over the P.A system. "The next train will be arriving shortly." The black screen jumps to the outside view of a subway car. There is a man, headphones pulled over his head, exiting the car, he groans and looks up from his phone. Several other people follow out behind him.

"It was nice of Merlin to add that little recap," said Darci, intrigued to see this past life. She wondered why she was even there in the first place, did she play a part in the movie?

Once the train was empty, the car doors slid shut, one of the lights inside flickering. The subway started to move again. The camera shows the handles and the empty seats, panning to where Nari and Douxie sat, the latter of the two bouncing his leg. Nari humming a tune, dressed in an outfit a seventy-year-old woman wouldn't be caught dead in.

"Wait a minute, that's the member who turned good, isn't it?"

"Yeah," Jim said.

"What is she wearing?" Mary asked.

"I think she looks adorable," cooed Claire, elbowing her friend in the side.

There's a bird with glasses in a cage, squawking and flapping its wings.

"Birds wear glasses on this planet?" Krel asked, leaning into her mother's embrace. He'd never been the social one out of him and his sister and his mother was always the one he went to for comfort.

Archie jumped off Douxie's lap and into the air, transforming into the very bird on the screen.

"Oh..."

Nari seemingly looked calm and relaxed while Douxie looked the opposite; his eyes gaze around the car as if awaiting an attack.

The view is outside the subway car again, only for another second, as the wheels spark against the metal tracks. Suddenly, the camera is back inside the car.

Douxie stands up from his seat, the caged bird still squawking. "This is a bad idea."

"What's a bad idea?"

Jim sighed, "It wasn't that bad of an idea..."

Nari is quick to grab his hand. "No. No more running, Douxie."

Douxie settles into his seat again. "No more running." Ominous music starts to play as the doors and windows to the car freeze over. Douxie takes a deep breath to steady himself, looking over his shoulder to see the window behind him freeze, he puts a hand to it.

"Can you feel it too, Nari?"

"I would hope so," snorted Steve, "Frost is literally freezing over the windows."

The flower Nari had been petting unbloomed, she looks up and when she speaks you can see her breath. "They're here."

The entirety of another car is shown, every inch covered in ice. The lights flicker again, this time more noticeable, before giving out completely. Through another door onto the car there is a glowing light--fire, that much is obvious. The heat causes the windows to shatter.

Douxie and Nari get to their feet, the cage still in Douxie's hand as he guides Nari back towards the door opposite the fire one. "Here we go."

There's chanting, the language foreign and sounding as if it's coming from two different genders. One feminine, the other masculine.

Taking that as a bad sign, Douxie slides the car's door open and steps into the frozen-over one. He and Nari slip, falling to the ground with a yelp.
