2 days later...

I woke up straight from a nightmare about wolves. This nightmares  has started since my sister's accident. Today is my birthday. I'm not excited about it but my mom is just the opposite. She's going to give a party in the afternoon and has invited everyone and by everyone, I really mean everyone without any exception. As I don't friends, mom just got that idea to invite everybody from school also. Like really, wasn't I getting enough problems that mom need to increase it.

I am awake and there is no retreat. I steal a glance at the pointless alarm clock, glowing red, and reach out to turn off the buzzer. I get out of bed and went to the bathroom. Oh my god, what's that in my eyes? Why the colour has changed? What the hell! My eyes just changed into black amber and that colour was not my actual coloured eyes. I was completely freaking out. I cried and ran downstairs still in my pyjamas.

"Mom...mom...mom!!!! Where are you?" l was really in a state of panic. Mom came from the kitchen and just stared at me, mouth opened like a big O. I cried and mom was sad about what happened and she said that it would get normal as she thought I got an allergy from eating something yesterday.
I just calmed down and believed that it can be an allergy. So I went upstairs to shower and after some minutes I came down to help mom to prepare for everything with my sister, Cathleen. I enjoy helping and arranging everything even though I'm not that happy about the party.

The party would start at 7 pm and would possibly end at around midnight. So everyone would start to come in about 15 minutes. So I hurried up to get myself ready and I've decided to wear a simple dress knee level with a white shoe. I don't like to put makeup so I just put a red lipstick and kept it simple, hair straight and curls at the end and I was ready.

I went downstairs and saw some people have already arrived and I don't know these people. Nothing surprising in that. So I just went to greet them and went to see what mom was doing. Just as I was about to go look for her, Cathleen called me to help her with her dress. After I helped her, she went hopping around her friends to show them her dress. I just rolled my eyes, at her eagerness.

I was happy about one thing with my birthday and that is, to be able to move out and independently. But I have not decide yet where to go despite the fact that I've already pinpoint some places. So I would keep it for later and right now I needed to put on my best smile and greet everyone until its time to cut the cake. I went outside in the garden to take some fresh air before cutting the cake. I love the night with the moon so bright and round. I feel like I belonged to the moon somehow and that was a strange feeling. I was still pondering about the moon when my mom called me to come in for cake cutting. I tore myself from my thought and went inside.

There was actually a really big crowd around me and I was like a small child in the middle. So I went near the cake and I just cut it while everyone was singing the happy birthday song. After the song I distributed the pieces of cake among everyone and finally went upstairs to clean myself. There was still people in the living room but many have already left after the cake cutting. Some close relatives and Cathleen's friends have stayed behind to dance and gossip. I'm not really the party girl type so I stayed in my room listening to some music and read some books. At around midnight everyone has become quiet. So I went in the kitchen to take a bottle of cold water and as I was about to go upstairs, I found a shiny box on the table. I went to see the shiny box and it was a gift. It was a small box. I took it and went in my room. As I opened the box, I saw a letter inside and it was from my parents. I opened it and was extremely delighted that my parents are sending me to New Orleans, the one of the places I wanted to go.

My grandmother, who have passed away two years ago from now has left a gift there for me and it was her house. Her house was really big and made of partly concrete and partly wood, overall her house was beautiful and it would be mine soon. I was extremely happy and that was the best birthday surprise ever.

The day after my birthday, it went in a slow motion way, there was school and the first period was business class and that was the worst class ever and really boring. Finally the bell goes out and it was lunch so I went to the canteen to get a dessert as I was not that hungry. After my birthday, I've stopped getting those symptoms and changes maybe mom was right it's just puberty. Mom has told me to start preparing for the departure for New Orleans and that was like a dream come true.

After school, I went home quickly and was surprised by the commotion that was happening. Cathleen and mom was fighting and from what I was seeing and hearing, it was actually a war. They were fighting because Cathleen did not clean her room and went out with her friends despite the disapproval of mother. She did not go to school and mom found out. So you know the disaster that occurred when children don't listen to their parents and that was an example. Finally resulting in Cathleen being grounded for an entire weeks including weekends.

I just got work to do so no time for those dramas and fighting, I went straight up to my room for packing and after 3 hours of packing, I went down to eat something. Mom was preparing dinner and Cathleen was in a bad mood so I would not risk another war. I went to grab a snack from the cupboard and to discuss some important details with dad. After that I went directly to my room. The next week I'm going to New Orleans and that going to be exciting and also my grandmother was living near a forest and deep in the forest they say it have big clearing so I'm eagerly waiting for next week.
