          Giyuu's POV

I enter a small dim lit room, racks of clothing coating the walls near the door and an array of mirrors line the wall opposite. A boy Sits in one of the chairs lined up with the vanity of its own and applies basic stage make up. He has long pink hair and his soft lavender eyes are round, as though he has the eyes of a young fawn.
He glances up at me and smiles as he looks over his script. It's as though his soft grin has lit the room while the faintly glowing overhead lights are now buzzing with illuminessence. He taps the seat beside him gesturing for me to sit near him. I walk over to the seat with a bounce in every step and my heart racing. A smile tugs at my lips, and I'm not quite sure how all of a sudden I feel so nervous, yet surprisingly, happy.
"I figured we could get some time to get to know each other a little bit since we will be taking the role of bestfriends. I find it awesome we get to keep our names! That would mean you're Giyuu, right? I'm Sabito by the way." Sabito speaks in a low, rich voice. I glance down at my script seeing the name Sabito frequently written on the sheet, an unexpected joy comes from knowing that he is the one I'll be working with the most. I said to him "Yes, I'm Giyuu, thank you for your kindness."
"It's no problem, it's nice to get to know who we are working alongside of, especially the person I will be spending the most time with." Sabito said with a smile that caused his eyes to crinkle and my heart to swell.
"Yeah, I understand. But I'm not great with people so you may have to help me around," I told him, hopeful he would be willing to spend time with me. Yet, after saying what I did, I begin to grow weary. What if he was annoyed that I was asking him to hang out with me?
"Absolutely! Don't look so nervous, I'm glad to meet you Giyuu!" Light poured into the room and my heart seemed to flip. Although my mind is usually set in despair, hearing Sabito's kind voice felt like a ray of sunlight was washing away my sorrow.
I turn towards the mirror in front of me, seeing a young man with tousled black hair and sharp blue eyes. I'm not much of a sight, yet somehow, they chose me to be the character girls swoon over. My eyes drifted to the left where Sabito is still applying his makeup and I can't help but notice the perfection his features seem to hold. His lips curled at the edges, his eyes with an aura of inner peace, and his hair floats around his face as though he hold the power of magic itself.
"Are y'all ready?" Yells and older woman who struts through the door with outfits draped across her arms. "Sabito put on this, this and this," said the costume designer. As she briskly sets different clothing items on Sabito's lap, a white mask catches my eye. Although, I am not able to put much thought into it before the lady turned to me, "I don't think I've met you before. I'm Darla, and I can already tell your Giyuu,"she said with a wink. I nodded overwhelmed by her prodigious amount of energy. She tossed a pile of clothes on my lap, including a red haori, black jumper, and a sheath along with a sword. I was about to unsheath the blade, however, before I could Darla scolded me as though I was a misbehaving toddler, "Ah-ah, don't open that until you get dressed. We are about to start and we are already running late today."
After quickly getting dressed, we headed to the production site. Sabito, along with several other actors, the director, and me, all headed into a deep forest to be greeted by a small wooden house with cameras and lights hidden behind the scenes. The actor of Urokodaki took his position, as did the rest of us.
The scenes went on, until the time when Sabito and I were supposed to meet. I bowed towards him, and greeted him solemnly, but when he tilted his head and smiled, I couldn't move. My lines seemed to vanish from my head, my heart raced, and I felt a burn in my face. Part of me knew Sabito was just sticking to script, but part of me also wanted his smile to be mine. Just mine to admire. Not the Giyuu in the show's.
"Quit it love birds! We have a show to make!" Yelled the director, infuriated with my pause. Sabito grew red and chuckled in embarrassment. Strike one. I had made a fool of the person I was supposed to be impressing. Was I supposed to impress him? Had I already made that official? I'm never like this, I shook my head in attempt to clear my thoughts. We had repeated the scene, and when it came time for Sabito to smile again it felt like my heart has been trampled, but I continued being the quiet boy who doesn't know love.
When it came time for a pause in filming, I seemed to avoid every place Sabito went. My mess up was devastating, and I had ruined it for him as well. I pondered how I could possibly be so foolish. However, even as I was sure Sabito had left for a restaurant, I turned to the waterfall in the woods and there he stood.
I turned away, not ready to face him yet because of the awkwardness I had created between us as friends. Even as my heart fluttered for something more, it's a risk that would never have a good outcome from a boy whose heart usually sits in grief.
Suddenly, a hand gripped my shoulder, and I knew Sabito was behind me. I turned to face him, attempting to put on a brave face, but my thoughts only sunk when all I could see was his fluffy pink hair, his eyes bright as moonlight, and his somehow perfect smile. In all of Sabito's perfection, the only part of him that seems less than perfect was that I couldn't look him in the eye and say that his love was mine.
He held up his phone so I could see a message on the glowing screen the message read,
The rest of filming is canceled for today due to complications with technology. I apologize for any inconveniences.
                    - Murphy

I released a breath of relief, glad I wouldn't have to face Sabito for much longer. Although my relief faded when Sabito's grin dropped. He didn't seem upset but his eyes met mine with a grave seriousness, and he told me in his low and calming voice, "I understand that you think you messed up but," his cheeks flushed, "I thought it was adorable when you got so flustered. We're both free, would you be interested in going on a date tonight?"
