Leaves of life

I rest my weary  head
against the earth's
tender timber bed
burnished by the
blissful but yet bold
color of brown .
Carrying

it's  colorful
coruscating
crown of the luscious
leaves of life .
That once carried
the callow clean
color of green
now hold the adept
colors of
orange and gold.
