I opened the apartment door.
Callie was drawing.
"I am gonna be working with grumpy Lawyers tomorrow."
We both laughed.
"Yelling is useless. It just makes people angrier. So... It's really useless."
She stood up.
"However, if you ever do the wrong thing for your Client, I won't hesitate to do the right thing next time."
"What are you talking about?"
"I am supposed to set a good example for my Sister. Since she is younger than me. I'm always supposed to do the right thing. For Jesus, Mariana, and Jude. You don't have those responsibilities. Eliza and Carter don't look up to you."
Callie's phone rang.
"I have to take this."
She answered it.
"Is this Callie Adams Foster?"
"This is she."
"Miss. Adams Foster, we believe it is your father, Sister, your brother-in-law, and step-mother that died in a car accident."
"Oh, my God."
"We need you to identify their bodies."
"Yeah. Of course."
Callie hung up.
"My day just keeps on sucking. Don't tell Mariana the truth. Please. I really don't need to add to this list. This ever-growing list."
"Yeah. Of course. Are you okay?"
"Of course. I always am."
Callie walked out, shutting the door behind her.

I got in my car.
I started the drive to San Diego.
I knew Sophia, James, Robert, and Jill were coming to meet Jamie.
They were in the car because of me.
I hope and pray to God Sophia's one year old daughter, Sabrina wasn't in the car with them.
I was breaking down as I was driving.
